Best WordPress Themes for Affiliate Marketers

Hey All,

With the truckload of Wordpress themes out there, does anyone have a preference when it comes to choosing a particular theme for affiliate marketing. I'm currently using the Revolution Themes for my authority sites, but I'm having trouble choosing a theme that works for me when it comes to reviewing a product or niche. Do 2 column or 3 column themes work best? Any suggestions will be great, and themes could be free or paid themes.

    i like the minimilist themes with most of the menus removed.

    the less junk and graphics = the quicker load times

    the less junk and graphics = the most chance for a click on my affiliate links and not some other nonsense many themes add

    I have been using the Flexibility theme Flexibility Theme for WordPress

    by the way I am in the planning phase to make a niche marketing theme with some advanced features great for niche marketing.

    I would appreciate a PM of any features you would like to see in a niche marketing theme.

    Part of the idea is one theme that can look different for many niches, easily add headers, and incorporate a salespage.

    What functions and features would you like to see?

      I just looked at your 'Nothing Buy Reviews' using the simplr theme and was wondering if you had to do a lot of tweaking to get it to look like that?

        From checking out the differences between his review page and the demo of Simplr, I'd say yes. And it looks very cool!

        P.S. I was playing with the 'Flexibility Theme' last week and it is very cool how easy it is to make some changes.
        There was some tweaking, but it was minimal... it's been 6months or so since we played with this (wife did most of it - she says about 4 hours from install to completion)

        95% of the mods were in the CSS file, just to get the border how we wanted it, and the colors.... we tweaked the header too so that there wasn't much to display for links at the top, but still make it look professional, and less of a sales page.

        I just double checked, and most of the "changes" that you are seeing, is within the post itself - If you look at the bottom of the page, where the comments are, you can see a slight difference from the post itself

        Honestly, this was the best option we found for making a landing page / sales page within wordpress.

      I just looked at the 'showcase' page for Thesis and those sites look very nice. I bet they take an awful lot of tweaking to get them to look like that, right? I mean, does Thesis have buttons where you can easily change things like the Flexibility Theme for example, or do you have to do all mods in the theme editor?

          I forget sometimes that my degree is in computer science and a "tweak" to me is daunting to the average... sorry if I understated the tweaking requirements.

          I would be more than happy to share the theme that I have, already tweaked and as you see it right now, if you are interested, PM me.
