squeeze page confusion

Right, I'm confused. I have left all this up to my techie in past and he is away for a bit so I need to get my head round this. (Can't believe I've been full time online for 4 years and I'm asking this but hey, that's what outsourcing is all about :-))...

Are squeeze pages Ok on a WP blog? Some people I've just been speaking to seem to have them on static HTML pages. I would have thought the squeeze page is better being part of your blog but then again, I suppose squeeze pages don't contribute much to SEO. Hrmmph. Very confused.

Second question... can anyone suggest a good graphics provider who can provide squeeze pages for WP blogs?

Cheers...

If you are talking about creating a squeeze page just by creating a page in wordpress using your regular theme, I suggest not unless you can totally turn off the menu bar, side bar etc. You want your users to be 100% focused on the content of the squeeze page.

As for creating them, I use a cool thing called optimizepress to create squeeze pages within wordpress and they look really really good. So easy for testing as you don't have to deal with any html and can edit them easily.

    Hope that helps!

I think I know where you're coming from, you may want to check out Impact Page Builder

You can use it to create unique squeeze pages, sales pages etc on Wordpress blogs...

Sorry I meant to also say that the squeeze pages don't even look like they are on a blog, so no distractions

You're right Rachael, but if Impact Page Builder is used it's a way around it.

It was created to solve this common problem.

There are levels of information. To me, a WP Blog is just a newsletter that is free. And you can get tons of traffic from writing blog posts. If you take time to weave in a few high traffic keywords all the better.

Now, once you have the traffic the smart thing to do is "eliminate the visitors who are just curious" You can do that with opt-in forms.

What I mean by that is they want to learn for FREE!

A squeeze page should be the rules of your business. That is. If you are not going me give me your personal information so that I can contact you in the future, then I won't allow you to see my content. You would need a separate Domain Name for that. One for the blog and one for the squeeze page.

Would I put it on a blog? NO.
