I have had my wordpreess blog set up for about a month now and have no clue where my visitors are coming from. I am very new to all of this have had a huge learning curve. I have installed the google analytics plug in and copied the code I need to put into my blog, but I have no clue where this code goes. I have tried researching and I have not found anything that talked me through it at a beginners level. Would anyone be willing to tell me how to paste the code in "baby steps". Thanks in advance for any help.

Go to apearance /widgets and drag a widget named text or html in your sidebar and put analytics code into that sidebar widget and save.

now go to your analytics homepage , select the site and click on veryfy the code .

    hope it helps

In your Wordpress Dashboard, on the left hand side click 'appearance' then 'editor'. Then on the far right hand side click 'Header'(header.php). Somewhere near the top, look for something that says </head>. Paste your Analytics code on the line above that. On it's own line. Hope this helps
