Hey Shay -

I really liked your post because it gives hope to those thinking they cannot do this! Sometimes they need to hear that successful marketers were once frustrated wannabe marketers.

That has actually been my marketing approach on youtube. Simply letting people know that I share the same struggles, frustrations they do - but I didn't give up and found a way to make it happen!

Somtimes people think successful marketers just landed here...frustration free ; D

Yeah...and we haven't used those words "I can't afford it," either in quite some time!

Most of my income is from writing for clients, at this point - but I am in the process of transitioning and having more passive income (although I will always write for clients - I enjoy it so much!).

THAT is really exciting for me - the money you make while you sleep.

My other income is coming from blogs and selling info products (guides/ecourses) through them.

I do have a list of 1800 moms that I started building as a hobby that I have not really tapped into yet. Finding the best way to utilize that list is part of my strategy for 2009.

Shay, the easiest way to monetize that list is to open their minds up to the
possibility of making a side income online. In today's difficult times, you'll
be surprised how many will be open to it IF you present it properly.

Another way is to think about what the average mom likes, such as
recipes and things like that.

The market to moms is unlimited. Just think about what you like.

Congrats on your success. I love success stories, they're so inspiring. I'm very happy for you and your family. If your husband is able to retire and you're working at home with a flexible schedule you'll have the time and resources to do the things in life that you WANT to do rather than the things that most people HAVE to do. Okay. Now that I have a few minutes....

I write to make money online - no secret there - but I also do more than just write for clients. I write for myself - to create guides/reports/etc. in order to help people.

But there is more.

I pace myself. I am organized. I write down my plans for the next day. I work with my personality and quirks to use them to my advantage.

Case in point: it is after midnight and I am online and writing. Why? Because I work best late at night.

I know myself, so I work well by myself. Does that make sense?

I didn't try to learn a zillion new things when I came here. I took inventory of what I could do, learned from the great Warriors here, and then adapted what I learned to help me make money - taking my strengths and weaknesses into account.

Each week, I make new goals and branch out so I can increase my income. I write things down and make a plan.

article marketing, blogging and then owe a football/soccer forum and now trying to do some blog flipping but not on long term, just to make 800 dollars after which I intend to give it up in pursuit of what I enjoy ( article marketing and my football site)

To me your post is more inspirational than those who come in bragging about their 1000s of dollars in their latest release.
