Throwing down a challenge to all members

With so many people out of work and coming online
or looking to replace their existing income I thought
this might get a few people on the forum to take action.

A number of threads have been started lately outlining
how to start a business or getting your first steps into
the entrepreneur world.

Here some of the threads you should read:

How to create instant products

Problems Newbies Face

Ok you should get the idea there are a lot more threads
I could dig up but you can do a search yourself.

The challenge is if you do decide to accept is to setup
a new business, website what ever you choose to call it.

Here is an outline of the challenge:

Create a product
Setup a website
Make $100 in TWO days.

It has to be a brand new project
not something that you've had
under the table.

I think it's a cool way to help other members on the forum
that might need help with this challenge they can come here
and get help or advise, which they already do but I'm hoping
this challenge would make more members take action.

If you guys think its a cool idea lets try and work out how we
can make this work so a few people can make some cash for
the XMAS...

      I was thinking if we all can like get this challenge started on like Wednesday
      this week and have it done Thursday and report back the outcome.

      The idea is to force other members to get shit done and not waste time
      on other crap that isn't making them money...

      Again any suggestion on how we should get this off the ground is most
      welcome I think it's great for the forum.

  • Well, does the kind of product matter? Can it be an established domain that we already own? how long between starting the project and launching it? (ie do we start making it today, and launch on wed)

    just a few thoughts that came to mind. I'm always up for a challenge, however I'm a better writer than anything else, so I would be limited in my rapid creation of stuff to things LIKE plr or mrr, or ebooks, ect. Although I've got plenty of other ideas too, this is what i'd have to bring to such a challenge, thus I want to be sure I'm ready. kwim?

    • I don't really think domain is an issue so I think that would be ok if
      you have an older domain.

      Product creation and everything else should be done within the 2 days
      website creation, salesletter, product creation, payment button, everything should be done but again lets all talk about it.

  • I have a three part series for writers I want to get done

    all of them would be fairly short, but not sure I can write the package in 1 day and launch -- might need to make it one day for production and two days for launch and money? -- just brainstorming --

    It's nice to see a fellow Warrior reaching out to help others during this holiday season.

    There have been a few challenges that I thought were extremely helpful for those struggling to make it in the IM biz. One that comes to mind was Tiffany Dow's challenge.

    My suggestion is to establish a (proven) step-by-step plan for others to follow. Give them a deadline to complete the project. One option could be creating and flipping a website in the holiday niche. Another option could be to use the website they created for their own marketing purposes.

    I think these options should be both challenging and fun to develop. Let us know when the challenge begins!

    • Christie, this is why I kind of left it open so anyone can come
      with suggestions on how we can proceed.

      As I wrote earlier anyone wants to start the challenge have to start
      from scratch with a new idea, but if they already have a domain that's
      no big deal.

      Must create a product from scratch no PLR
      build a website/salesletter
      Setup payment button
      and make at least $100

      All this in under two days.

      What type of product you create is up to you.

  • personally i like the new product idea - and once you've created one w/ a deadline like that you KNOW you can repeat the process. A step by step process is convenient, however it may target something people aren't interested in creating or promoting. flipping websites would be a good idea too, as long as it's not selecting something in a specific niche we may not be versed enough in to market (essentially if we all pick the site to flip) just a thought...

    first thing: research and brainstorming about the topic....a product under 2 days...let me see, I good without fluff short valuable report selling for $7-$17 dollars...like a blueprint...

    • Stef, I just open it up so everyone can give their feedback
      and we can work out the details but I don't believe we all
      need to start together....

      Just report back what you did and how you did it over the
      2 days, and share insights on what you could have done
      better and improve upon..

      This might be a great follow up to your latest exploits...

    • I can't see any reason why we can't use the WSO section, but if you have a list of subscribers you shouldn't use that or am I way off base here.

      I just think it would be a great idea and it will force people to be creative most of us have list we can go to but it would be great to do everything from scratch and that includes traffic.

  • This is the sign that I`ve been waiting for. Today`s my 28th birthday, I`m in debt and IM is my way to start a new life. I`ve read the "50k a day thread" earlier on a four hour long train ride before I entered my home with a new fire in my heart.

    Here we go!

    I, Tom Vo (aka. watashimo), am officially accepting Mr. David Thompson's challenge!

    A few friends are coming over in a minute to celebrate my birthday, so I will have to post the details for my plans later. Not that I have any details yet. I have no experience, so my first thought was to write a PLR report to sell. But I think that it was mentioned earlier that PLR products are not allowed. Might be a good reason to dive into product creation. Have to figure something out.

    • I think they meant you could not buy PLR and use it for your product, not that you could not create PLR to sell.

  • Already started this.

    Plan on finishing my product (about 75% now complete - worked on it for roughly 5 hours today) by tomorrow.

    I'm also going to price it at an incredibly affordable price, so I can see what type of response I can get.

    It's a complete step-by-step plan that will take you by the hand and help you earn money on complete autopilot. Really, it's geared more towards newbies who are looking to crack that $100 a day.

    Should be pretty exciting. I'll post my updates and results as they come!

  • product in mind, creation begins at 4 45am tomorrow (not checking email so i don't lose focus) should be completed by noon, and loaded to a site w/ a landing page by 2 - will be back to client work by 3p w/ a more concerted effort on promotion by thursday, to reach goal by 4 45a on friday morning when my 48hrs will be up.

  • First of all, I'd like to thank David for taking a really constructive step to help the warriors just starting out to kill their "PARALYSIS WITH ANALYSIS" and throwing it out as a competetion

    Now I won't be participating, partly because I do not have the time as I have so many other things to do... You know hang around with friends, go to the bank and withdraw some cash... get my bathroom fixed... finding a plumber for that. ET CETERA, and partly because it has to be $10K at the least to get me interested and $100 doesn't do the trick any longer... Besides, what's the point competing with people when I can just help them out.



    Now, that doesn't mean I am totally gonna avoid this beautiful affair initiated by David.

    So here's the deal...

    The first three people to contact me via PM regarding this will get my help with product creation... Maybe I'll even do a video depending upon your ideas, and my feelings regarding your enthusiasm.
    So all warriors roaring up to take it on head-on, feel free to contact me via PM.. As I say, the first three people are getting my help along the way for their product creation!

      on that one, if you already have a domain it doesn't make any sence
      to me buying a new one, just use what you have.

    - Plan an structure
    - Write it
    - Edit it
    - Prepare the final version
    - Prepare a sample

    2. Webiste
    - buy domain
    - get hosting
    - structure of the site
    - design site
    - develop the site or use Wordpress
    - setup sales page
    - setup thank you page

    3. Payments processor
    - choose payments processor
    - setup BUY NOW buttons and integrate them with the sales page
    - test the entire process

    4. Autoresponder
    - get autoresponder
    - create a list
    - create a form and integrate it with your thank you page
    - set up an followup sequence

    5. General tests
    - test everything

    6. Marketing
    - free marketing techniques
    - WSO
    - JV partnerships
    - PPC

    7. Optimization and scaling
    - track everything
    - optimize
    - scale

  • Well it looks like I am late, but better late than never. I will see what I can come up with. Actually I do have a couple of books I had written for me. They might work, but I know they need to be tweaked somehow to make them more appealing.

    • I am a newbie here, and to marketing online in general but in naswerto the challenge I have written an instructional .pdf on a topic I know that will solve a problem for many people but now I need to find that market. Any suggestions on how to find people with a particular problem that I can solve ? Also I need to create a website I suppose that sells this solution, huh ? Any ideas pointing me n the right direction are appreciated. I have some ideas but don't mind refining them based on suggestions from experts.

    • I read this last night and got to thinking, "Why Not".

      I have some boxing gloves that I was going to cold call some local boxing training business in an effort to sell them.

      So I'll tie selling my gloves into getting into the offline income arena and I came up with this website. Oxnard Boxing Tips Training and More and the page of boxing gloves at Oxnard: Boxing Gloves For Sale

      All of this took me 11 hours today.

      I hope to make about $400 off of the boxing gloves and lease the site to a local boxing business (yellow pages style) on a yearly basis AFTER I have it ranking #1 on google for a number of keywords.

      I created a blogger blog -- looks bad, I need to fix it. I'll do some social bookmarking etc and see what happens.

      Will I make $100 in 2 days? I am not sure, but I hope to turn this into a lot more shortly.

    • We are not allowed to do any type of self promotion in the forums and that espcially includes WSO's .. I realize David started this thread to get some motivated but that does not mean the rules are allowed to be broken.

  • You're right - but you know, I am not a competitive person at all, I just like to challenge myself to do better than I have before. I need to remember this challenge and make my own to myself. It's really not about the money - although I love money! It's about stepping up to the plate and trying.
