Independent medical device sales rep-What website Builder??

I am getting ready to start working as an independent sales rep in the medical device/diagnostic sleep field. i plan on coming across as a medical business developer because really thats what i am and if i call my self a sales rep i might get turned down right away with the cold call.
But anyways, i do want to build a very basic website with just enough content to get the attention of doctors or anybody else that might result in them contacting me somehow for more information! I plan on having a blog, doing article marketing, and my favorite is to go onto forums related to health so i might as well create a signature leading people to my website and creating backlinks!
So, i was looking at some easy 2.0 website builders and i am leaning towards Weebly.com??? I also plan on purchasing a plan so that i use my own domain and there is no ads that its a weebly website.
I am well aware of wordpress but its to much work for a newbie like myself. Again, im just trying to create a simple webpresence to look more proffessional, and if it brings me leads that result in sales, even better!!
So, is weebly an ok platform to use for my situation or will it be a waste of time?? thanks

    Hi,

I think you need your own domain to project professionalism. There is a learning curve with Wordspress, but it's not that hard. That would be my recommendation...build on your own domain and use Wordpress...regards Allen

      Thanks Allen,

I do actually plan on using my own domain so it doesnt show weebly after the .com and also have it removed from the footer. I know how popular wordpress is and have looked into it many times and would def. use for a more complex site, like to promote affiliate programs etc. but im really looking for simple simple but effective for what im doing!

I would absolutely agree with this. Use Wordpress and your own domain name, ie not wordpress.com.

Its not that hard. You'll be surprised. You dont need any techy skills at all. There's a good step for step Wordpress for Dummies style guide here: Get Started with a new Website » Link Building Tools - Free Search Engine Promotion

Never ever put your "professional web presence" on a site that you do NOT control!

You do not control weebly or wordpress.COM or blogger etc. -

Your domain and your own hosting is a must. Most hosting providers also offer different kind of website builder gizmos...

Or look around here in the Classifieds or Warriors for Hire sections and pay somebody to make a decent site for you - instead of experimenting with cheap, amateur solutions.

Stay away from weebly and any other monkey business!

Get your own wordpress install on your own domain and call it good!

Never, ever, ever put a money site, pro site, ect.. on a domain you don't own.

I gotta rule and that is: 1st don't kick your own A$$!

putting anything that makes you money directly or indirectly on to any site you don't control is kickin your own behind.

Learn word press once and you will use it for many years and be happy/

I have to add to my post above:

Despite knowing a thing or two about WordPress... I don't say (as so many others do) that you MUST use WordPress to create a professional site. Only people who have no idea of HTML/CSS or the existence of other CMS scripts are so narrow-minded to recommend only and exclusively WP.

WP is not for every kind of site.

The very first thing should be that you plan your site: write/draw on a piece of paper the structure of your site, the main ideas about its content, your goals with it etc.

Then you will be in a way better position to look for a CMS (if needed) because you will know what kind of features your site will need.

Ok, so i will give wordpress a shot! Another question in regards of the content. I want to build a website to obviously look more professional, but to possibly get leads as well. However here is where i need some advice. Most anyone involved in outside sales as a contractor knows not to use the words sales rep to describe themselves when speaking with potential customers. Even saying your a consultant can cause red flags. So im going to use medical business development, since like i mentioned earlier im selling a medical device.
Now should i keep my website content limited just enough to get and keep the attention of a potential client so they want to contact me for more information? If i do this then the only leads i can expect would be from physicians or medical office manager.
If i do that, i was thinking then i could build another website based around the medical problem and solution im promoting. It would be less personalized then the other website, but by building this type of site i can hopefully get the attention of people who feel they suffer from the disorder that im trying to create an awareness for and they might contact me or tell there doctor about my site and what i have to offer which also could end up as a lead and sale.
    Any advice would be appreciated.

You don't need two websites if you are offering a solution to a single problem. Actually, using WordPress as a CMS will allow to easily categorize your content and show your visitors that you really do know what you are talking about.

I won't try to persuade you to use Wordpress - someone likes it and someone doesn't. In any case it's one of the best CMS. Weebly website builder that you've chose - is one of the best, as for me. Weebly has intuitive drag and drop editor, it's SEO friendly and the most important - it allows to transfer your website to any other hosting. If I'm not mistaken, none of website builder doesn't offer such opportunity. Well it's for sure, none of free ones. I would recommend you to check Wix, I think it's even more advanced. Plus it offers lots of first class templates, including for medical sites.
