Best eBook Cover Software/Solution?

Hey all, I'm looking for a quality looking eBook cover creator which makes it fast and easy. I was recommended eCoverCreator3d, it's almost $50 which isn't cheap, but if I can create unlimited covers which it says I can it seems like a good deal as I'll be creating a lot of stuff in the future and it'd be cheaper than hiring a designer on a case by case basis.

Suggestions?

Well if $50 is expensive for you then you probably wouldn't want what I use, which is Cover Action Pro. It's $297

I haven't personally used eCover Creator 3D, but I've heard pretty amazing things about it. For a software designer that doesn't require Photoshop, it's pretty good.

If you're looking for a slightly less expensive route, I've used My eCover Maker
(eBook Cover Creator - eCover Design Online Free). They've got 5 free templates you can use to try it out (it costs $3.95 to download), or you can sign up for the $9 a month for unlimited downloads. It's all web based, super simple, and cranks out some cool looking eCovers.

It also has options for binders, CD covers, DVD covers, Kindle covers, and even has a packager, if you want to combine your covers into a big package deal.

At the very least, it's really inexpensive to try out.

CAP looks pretty sick, but I don't do nearly enough covers to warrant the price. It's mostly a one time thing with possibilities for the future.

Yea, I do custom covers on Elance and oDesk, amoung other things suck as WP and Joomla customization and plugin development. So CAP does come in handy for me.

I have seen that cover action pro is getting problems with some photoshop versions, but if you have the last one I think you are done!

Well photoshop is the best way to go if you have it and if you know how to use it. I usually use it.

Honestly, if you really want a professional ecover designed, I would stay away from all the ecover generators. They are fun and fancy, but just because it makes the box and has a few design elements, does not mean that the final design will be anything close to professional.

Hire a professional to design your ecover, there are many on this forum, if your really serious and want a professional looking design to represent you and your product or service.

    Just my opinion.............

Sorry, cant hire me, I'm booked up for the next few weeks!

      Agree with Steve.

It depends on what you exactly need, convertingcopy.

I suggest you to use ecover generators for little reports, maybe PLR materials, but if you have to launch a new, "revolutionary" product i suggest you to hire a professional designer!
