How much would you charge?

Warriors,

I was just approached by an online marketer to do some virtual assistant work at about 10 hours a week.

I was wondering if $97 a week would be a good price point for this type of work? Also, should I get him on a weekly contract, monthly or have him pay by the hour?

The work will range from web design, data entry, and marketing.

Thanks in advance,
Desiree

$97 a week is a good price. You have said that you would just be working for 10 hours a week. I think that it is enough.

I've seen people charge anywhere from $8 - $30 /hr, bust most seem to be in the $10 - $12 range. Also, as others have mentioned, charge by the hour.

Pay by the hour would be my choice. I, in fact, have a virtual assistant who does data entry, some writing and marketing @ 8.0$ an hour.
The quality of work is good and I am happy with the output I am getting.
The guy is from India and knows quite a bit.
As much as I hate to confess this, but the truth is that this guy has helped me more than what I give him (8.0$/hour).
The only thing you must be careful of is to clearly underline what kind of output you are looking in an hour and what other guidelines the VA must follow.
This is one of the most essential things while hiring a VA.
Hope this helps you in your insight.

If you are going to do VA work, I would definitely charge by the hour. Make sure that you accurately document what you have done and how long it takes so that there aren't too many issues.

As for how much you charge, are you happy with $9.70 per hour?

    This is just my $0.02.

I would say charge based on how much you think you are worth and how much the guy is willing to pay. If you want to charge more, you must think of how you can improve the outcome of your services.

Pay by the hour and have every work documented so every penny will be worth it for you both.
