PLR are Useless

I have always felt that way. I agree 1000%, but people will still buy them. Its good your not the sucker who parts with his money for the PLR articles.

And the sad thing is, PLR articles can be resold by anyone who got it...where is the "private label" now?

Gee. Is that how you get the "unique" articles you mention in your sig file? Grabbing stuff from an article directory and rewriting it?

How strange that someone selling "unique" articles would come in saying that PLR is useless. I wonder why that might be?

It's a totally different things Paul, please don't bring my business to my normal posts. People who are ordering my writing service have their own keywords that needs to be highly-researched - not just rewrites. There are people who order rewrites providing their original articles and people who needs original articles.

Why was it a mistake, because you are stealing content from Article Directories, re-writing it, and then reselling it or that someone noticed?

2. It's not right to rewrite articles straight from article directories. The original author could argue that your rewrite is a derivative work.

I understand but somehow this rule have loopholes. There are lots of articles that have the same meaning and rewriting is not arguable. Articles that have the same meaning especially How To's.

If I found your article in EZA about "How to cut my hair" and rewrite it to "How I cut my hair" with totally different steps but have the same outcome, would you accuse me of rewriting your article and stealing your idea?

Yes, you have a point, but it depends on how you deal with everything. Articles that have been shared to torrent and downloaded by thousands and hen resold by another hundreds of people are not to be called PLR articles anymore.

And I'm disabling my signature in this thread to be fair.... My opinion has nothing to do with my services.

Publishing PLR articles to article directories is just 1 thing that you can do with PLR.

There are dozens of other uses that many smart marketers have employed to make quite a bit of money online.

it depends on the quality of the PLR, the age, the set of rights of the package and the number of copies sold. And there are many uses for content, besides posting as articles.

The packages I sell have limited rights in terms of reselling, they are only 30 copies for sale per package, they are usually proofread by a third party.

they come in different formats and I also package reports, provide graphics, add how to guides, and in some cases they come with powerpoint presentations, podcasts or videos.

I did ask some of my clients why they bought, the answer was usually a version of: are you kidding?

I guess it works for them.

I just hate duplicate contents... It might be useful for people who are selling it, but not for many people who are buying it.... If you want quality, PLR is not an option.

PLR is not meant to become duplicate content. It is meant to be a reliable and easy source of information you can rewrite fast.

You "can´t" take articles from article directories and rewrite them alone, even when many people do it.

And PLR are not supposed to be rehashed things impossible to read like they are...

They are supposed to be an accessible way to have good quality writers writing for you, when you can´t afford exclusive service.

I firmly believe that with the new changes, "author PLR" will soar as a service.

Yet stealing other people's articles isn't duplicate content?

You can re-write PLR just as you can articles from article directories. The difference is one is illegal and one isn't.

I just bought 5 easter related domains. I needed some articles on my sites to make them seem like active blogs.

Someone on here was offering 15 PLR articles for $9.

Are people visiting my website going to know that these are just PLR articles, no. Have they ever seen them before? Probably not.

So I can pay $9 for 15 PLR articles or $75 for 15 unique articles.

I know what I would (did) pick.

PLR is a tool. Buy a cheap tool and it won't work well.

Use a tool badly because you don't know what you're doing and again - it won't work well.

But don't blame the tool.

Rewriting people's existing stuff is called plagiarism - but forget about legalities - it's unethical.

Then again, ethics? Many people don't have them anyway, as is obvious here with the OP.

However those paying for PLR DO have them - they're paying for the privilege to rewrite them, not stealing like you suggested.

And they can use them many ways that have nothing to do with duplicate content:

- Email autoresponders,
- Compiled to sell or give away as reports, eBooks, etc,
- On Amazon...

Somehow I feel that this post was originally geared to showcase the sig file offer (which was only taken down after being chastised) and not truly disparage PLR.
