How Many Pages Should My Blog Have?

Hey all,

Kind of a newbie at this, I've been setting up review blogs for stuff, and getting some stuff sold on Amazon. Building up backlinks gradually, but I did wonder how many pages should a simple review blog have? Does it make a difference to search engines? If so, what should be on them?

If it's a review site on a simple amazon product, it can be anywhere between 5 to 10 pages. You can go with one page if you want, but you're going to need a ton of backlinks to it. Put a lot of content inside it. Also put articles talking about the product as well as reviews from people.

I have visited many blogs with many pages. Most that I like to look into or that draws my attention are blogs that have about 10-20 pages of content but each page is loaded with valuable information. When a blog is like this I am interested in staying there a little longer to see what information I can find that may help me.

    My opinion though.

Like what Mike have told you, one page optimization should be the toughest for one-page websites. but if you are making a review site then I suggest then leaving it as one page will be kinda weird. Just put as many page that your review site will require. Just make sure that there wont be too many distractions in your site.

Personally, I find it weird when I see a one-page site in the top of my search results.

Main page with the product review and 6 or 7 pages with quality informational articles regarding the product should be enough.

The more page you have, the better for your site, this view is not right. Less than ten pages is enough, I think.

OK, I have lots of reviews on different products on one page...maybe it's not set up as good as it could be.

The site I'm talking about is bestbluetoothheadsetreview.com

Any chance you guys can check it out and tell me what you think?

      Thanks

You should have a page for every search phrase for your product.

Do some keyword research and find out what people type into the search engines when looking for this product.

You could end up to a 1 page site or a 100 page site depending on the product and how people look for it online.

One fact is that if you have many pages in your blog, you will have the opportunity of targeting many long tail keywords per page and from experience, the more broad your keyword base, the wider your reach.

What you need to do is get as many keywords as you can and gradually start writing on each of them.

Before you know it, your blog would have had many pages of keyword-rich content.

You can launch it as a single-page site... then just add a new page however often you think you can.

Can you commit to adding a page or article every week? That's 50+ pages in a year. Twice a week? 100+ pages this time next year. You get the idea.

It completely depends on your strategy.

You could laser focus on 1 keyword and have success with 1 page of content, plus "about us", "contact us", "privacy policy", and other similar pages that every site should have.

I prefer to make larger sites, with at least 100 pages. I have some that have over 50,000

Totally, agree! Start your site and then build it.

Google and the rst expect blogs to grow oganically.

So get it olive on the web and then add posts continuously.

about 5 a day is good.

To get the best traffic response spend some time picking 100 keywords, then write 2 blog entries on each keyword every day.( don't stuff keep it to 3 % )

That will get you good traffic.

There is not a certain requirement, but in general blogs need TONS of content to rank high. The more posts you have the bigger is the number of visitors coming from Google, because you can rank for long tail keywords.

The amount of pages really does not matter that much but remember that if you can add more products you can increase your search presence. So it is entirely up to you on this matter how much work do you want to put into your site. How deep do you want to try and control the market with your site. How many search terms do you want to obtain front page rankings for related to your niche.

Also keep in mind building a site with just 10-20 pages that never updates will start sliding down the rankings chart. You need to keep your site fresh by doing so google and the other search engines will like you better.

I am not saying you have to update it every day either. You can add an article once a week or once a month. Maybe add a new product to your list every month. Then make sure to link to both your home page and your inner pages to help increase its rankings for both the products and the site. Best of luck hope this helps.

You can start out with the main review and your standard pages (contact, sitemap, privacy policy), but eventually you'll want to add more pages. I'd say 10-50.

I have many ad blogs with about 6 -10 posts and they do well. However, if you are seeing good traffic numbers, I would start posting every week or month at least to keep refreshing the site. Unique content, that is

I don't think that it would create a difference. But still you should at-least have 25 pages.
