Just got my 1st list member :) what now?

To my surprise my inbox had a mail saying I have my 1st getresponse subscriber.

I have 3 emails written up already and setup in getresponse and I'm pretty sure they work since I signed myself up and it worked. The 3rd one is a plug to the clickbank product though I have to sort out the link if I recall.

Do I have to do anything else now? I have to edit them a bit.

I do know that I don't have the free report that I promise on sign-up so maybe I should either take that off or write one up quickly.

I just checked and getreponse doesn't seem to have given me info on it sending out the follow up- should that happen automatically?

Cool man, keep this thing growing now, but..

Just remember... "list members" are actually REAL people, sitting in front of a computer.
So, make sure you treat them that way.

The numbers don't mean anything. The relationship you have with them, means a lot.

Congratulations. Every big list had 1 subscriber at one point. It's just how it starts.
But I think that if you shouldn't offer a free report if you will not be able to send it to the visitors. It will make you look bad.

Congrats on getting your 1st opt-in but like Pablo said they are actually real people not just a number you want to convert to profit. This will make you work harder to actually help the people who join your list thus building a better relationship and your profits will follow

    You said what?

If you don't have the free report you are offering and
exchange from emails and names I suggest you go ahead and
create it right away before people begin to spread the word
    and you lose your reputation.

You have to deliver on your promise or you will be out of
    business very fast.

After you deliver your report, share good tips and advice
with them, help them, and then offer them a product/service,
this is the way it works.

    Thanks,
    ^PV Reymond

I think you should get your report created ASAP to make sure you deliver on your promises.

I know you only have one subscriber right now, but you want to start building a relationship right away. Whether you have 1 or 1000 subscribers, each subscriber doesn't know how many others you might have - start building a relationship with that subscriber right away. It'll be good practice for planning broadcasts, learning how to impress your list members and so on. Treat them as an individual when you send emails and you'll be getting your list off to the best possible start.

Should the follow up emails be automatic using getresponse or do I have to initially check that they are sent out.

I went over to getreponse and looked over on subscriptions and there is still only my email showing so I dunno why that is?

The only confirmation of a new subscriber has been to my email and it isn't showing up on getresponse.

I have unchecked the 'double signup confirmation' thingy too.

I've taken the free report thing down. I'll put it back up if/when I do one. The message was 'subribe for free report and e coaching course so I've just left it as e coaching course since I have that done already in my follow ups in getresponse.

Hey congrats..don't call them subscriber . Just think one student just took admission in your class & wanted to learn things which can make his/her life easier by thinking this way you will provide much more value to your students
      Just a thought

Some action steps you can take right now are to create your free report, make sure you have unsubscribe links and website links at the bottom of your emails, and lastly, create a few more emails (about ten or more) to be queued up and ready for launch when more people sign up to your list.
