The money, the thought of being my own boss, the thought of taking a holiday whenever I want, the thought of spending as much time with family as i want, not having to worry about early mornings, rush hour traffic, impressing superiors, uniforms or dresscode, but most of all ofcourse, the money :p

    Money is my motivation.

        What uni are you at?

I'm in my last year of Psychology at Kent Uni. Looking forward to it being over and not having the weight of coursework, exams and presentations nagging away at the back of my mind when I'm trying to do real work

When I see the money coming in,that certainly does motivate me because I know what I'm doing is working.

My long term motivation, however, is more about my life goals, what I'd do with that money, the free time etc. At the moment I'm planning to go travelling for an extended period of time. That really keeps me motivated

Money isn't the motivator. It's what money can buy or get you... is what motivates.

If you can keep forefront in your mind what you really want and never let that vision escape you... and if it's strong enough and big enough, something you truly believe you can achieve, that itself can motivate you enough to stick through the tough times.

My motivator are the goals I have set for the future. They are what I really want and I believe if I work hard enough, smart enough... and never quit, eventually my persistence WILL overcome and I WILL succeed. Roadblocks in the way of my goals are only temporary and it's up to me whether I let it remain a hindrance or something I will work through.

My motivation is the goals, the dreams I have for myself and their reality is clear in my mind. They motivate me because I envisioned them becoming real.... if I don't give up and keep persisting. They motivate me because they are goals within reach of my faith... of my believability factor that I will obtain them. Without having these vivid clear pictures in my mind of what I want, then I'll work aimlessly without measure of what I really want and won't have the inspiration to keep at it when the road ahead gets filled with obstructions.

There actually are a lot of things that motivate me if I start thinking about it.

If I'm doing something I don't necessarily like, but have to do - then I think about things like - this is earning the roof over my head and the food on my table, so basically it's fear.

When I do something that is really a passion for me, it is a whole different game. Then I feel motivated by the feeling that I'm going to accomplish something big and meaningful, and that I have to do this, and it all comes together naturally.

You can guess which type of things I try to do more, but in life there has to be balance between both of these I guess

Plenty of things should fall into motivational standpoints, but the full idea of achieving "success" and being comfortable in one's life choices, and children, is the main reason why we all work. So this is work, succeed and achieve.

      I love that!

In my book, the best motivators are:

#1 - Confidence in yourself - the belief that "you can do this".

#2 - Success - because it gives you more of #1!

Even a little success can go a long way!

My motivation is the goal of successfully completing a task to an employer and the feel good moment you have when the employer gives you a good review. I know a lot of people's motivation is money, I'm not condescending it because it's also one of my reasons. I think money should be a motivator but not the whole reason per say.

Here are two videos that are strong motivator.

That one pump me and don't give up. How Great I am is speech from Mohamed Ali, the greatest boxer of all time. I listen to it every morning, thanks to Russell Brunson.

The second one is my favorite video ever. When you're sad because nothing is working, just listen to this video and if you don't smile at the end, go see a doctor! It will remind you are AWESOME. I shed tears of joy everytime I listen.

Ive been trying to figure out exactly what motivates me for about 2 years now? I mean yes money is nice, freedom is nice, recognition is nice, but I think the number one thing that motivates me is to be able to not ever worry about where is the $$ gonna come from to do this and do that. I mean to be able to wake up in the morning and just feel totally relaxed about the future has got to be the most awesome feeling in the world!

The second thing is to be able to shove my success into the face of all of the a-holes who said I was a lazy ******* when I would not just GO GET A JOB!

Success truly is the BEST revenge!

Here is a video I watch often! I love it!

Bill, thanks for reminding me about one of my main motivations - getting back at the dimwits who thought I was a fool for leaving the security of my corporate job to strike out on my own with my internet business! It still brings a smile to my face when I recall the day I told my boss I didn't feel like working anymore, and he seemed to be far more upset about it than I was!
