I am pretty new. I have noticed that all the sales pages I receive have multiple clickbank accounts listed. In other words they say, "in one account I made, and here's another and another, etc..."

Why have so many different accounts?

    Hi There,

Welcome to the forum, and to IM.. The reasons that people may have multiple clickbank accounts are plentiful... But usually they are these two.

    (1) If you are in multiple promotion niches, you may want to have a different affiliate id, for say your pen name etc, so that people don't connect your two sites through the affiliate name.

    (2) Most commonly, they have one account for each product. It's kinda crazy how the system works, when you have a few products... So it's best to have a vendor account for each product that you release through clickbank. (I believe it's a redirect thing).

Caleb's right. Also only the first (primary) product in any account will show in the Marketplace to attract affiliates. There are, however, perhaps times when you may want to sell a product through CB and not have affiliates. In cases like that you could add a second product to your main account. --Mike

That's it... Thanks for completing my answer. I think the way it's set up, is say I'm running a product site, where I sell multiple e-books, I may only want my base affiliate program to run,

but if your doing multiple launches that's really not going to work.

No, not at all, Christina. You can see very clearly within one account which products have been sold.

It's a nuisance to have more than one account, because (among other reasons) each separate account you have has to comply individually with the "customer distribution requirement" before you can actually be paid any commissions out of it from the sales you've accrued.

I promote nearly 20 different products (as an affiliate) from one account.

It's different for product vendors, but affiliates like yourself need a second account only if "something goes wrong with the first one".

In my opinion, many affiliates have different accounts because they don't want to get noticed or don't want someone spy them by using clickbank id..
atleast it was the case when clickbank didn't have encrypted hop link.
