Whats The Best Way To Promote A Youtube Channel On Facebook!

I just found out that two videos I uploaded last year went viral there funny videos
& I was thinking of promoting them on facebook.

Whats should I do create a fan page or group for the niche funny videos
& how should I get fans & promote it.

    I would definitely create a fan page not a group. I would set up a custom Facebook landing tab and embed the Youtube video in it. I would then have a very simple Facebook share button below the video. If the video is funny and people want to share it, they will.

    With a group you can send a private message to all members of that group up until you have 5,000 members. Anything over that and the private messaging function is then disabled. After that stage you have no effective way of communicating with all those members. People will only see your posts if they visit the group page.

    With a fan page on the other hand, you can't private message anyone but every time you post a new item on your fanpage it will appear in the news feed of all your fans - they never even have to visit your fanpage. They will still see your posts in their news feed.

    The other bonus of using a fanpage over a group is that the admin of the fanpage remains anonymous. No one knows who created the fanpage. With a group however the admin (YOU) is clearly listed in the sidebar of the group.

    I think facebook marketing is the best way.
    A fans page will make you like a king..
    But for me, I choose twitter. Twitter is more specific for market.

      Hi Meakerseeker,

      Just to add to the comments here, you can promote your videos on Facebook in a number of ways, when you create a fan page which is absolutely the right choice, you can then upload the viral video directly onto that page, then share that video onto your profile wall and also see if you can tag all your friends. As that video hits newsfeeds, all people who haven't yet liked your page will automatically see a little Like icon in the top left of the video and you will grow fans aswell as start to get your video shared.

      Another option is to use the new fabulous iframe function and create a web page with your best videos on it and share buttons under each video + facebook comments, so when people go to that page they can watch, share and comment on each video. The comments will be posted on their wall, the share button will take the video to their wall and their comments and your video will hit their newsfeeds and be seen by all their friends!

      I built a list of over 10,000 people in just over 3 months using videos and sharing content on Facebook - it's VERY powerful!

    I would do a Fan Page & a group. It gives you more exposure. If you have money, do facebook ads.
