How I Made Money By Paying Attention To Warrior Threads.

Recently, I came across a thread here explaining how to take advantage of trends and make quick money. One of the posted trend was about phiten necklaces. I had no idea what it was till then, but a quick search gave me enough info to whip up a one page site.

I hosted it on a 2$ .info domain.

Next, I submitted the URL tothe feed aggregators like feedage, feedagg.

I also answered a couple of questions on yahoo answers. This did not take too long and some of my answers were even chosen to be the best answers!!

I earned about 18$ in adsense in 3 days.

I flipped the site for 25$.

Not much, but just goes to show how paying attention to the warrior threads and taking action makes you money.

Took the 40$ net profit and outsourced my article writing. One of the visitors from these articles, brought me 21$ affiliate commission from CB.

Now All I need to do is invest the money back to keep making the profits.

So guys, if you are still in READ mode, stop it and start taking ACTION.

Money isn't real, George. It doesn't matter. It only seems like it does.

Not sure how you calculate that he lost money. Although the profit margin on this one was relatively small, the underlying message of paying attention to the trends is an important one!

        Nice one.... but....

Would it not have been more advantageous to hold it for a month?

You would then have had the potential to make $200 and flip for more.

Neat observation anyhow - and a good lesson to many to pay attention even if you don't know anything about a specific topic - you can always learn.

Spent 2$. Made 43$ --Profit 40$ on the trending website.

Took the 40$ profit and had a few articles written on another niche.

Already made a 21$ clickbank commisision on that effort.

Still not clear how you calculated the proft/loss.

I'm pretty sure the $21 Clickbank commission will not be the only one either. Given time, more commissions will follow. We're not talking huge numbers here but it's great that you took action, made some money, then did some outsourcing.

I'd also be willing to bet that the outsourcing gave you time to work on something else that should make some money as well.

The way I add it up, you definitely made a profit with more to follow.

Just out of curiosity, how much of your own time (all together) did you have invested in this project?

Registering the name and putting out the 1 page site with pictures and amazon ads as fillers took about 1 hr.

Posting on yahoo answers and feed aggregators must have taken another 1 hour, tops.

So it took me abt 2 hours . The Mike Filsame's of IM might consider the returns a joke, but for some others, it might propel them towards action.

I just asked in the interest of full disclosure.

To be sure, more CB commissions may come of the work. So your final return likely isn't known yet. Not to mention the experience you've gained.

I thought that same thought as well Jim, but his entire surge of traffic was revolved around using a hot trend at the moment to generate quick traffic.

If he would have held it longer, it may have deteriorated drastically, or maybe been to much effort to keep going.

When you have small profits in the beginning, I think it's better to wait a bit before outsourcing. One wrong move could quickly drain your capital and leave you at square one again.

I use this method as well, and I've found its better to use either:

    1. CPA offers

    2. Clickbank products

The problem with adsense, is that you are getting paid a fraction of what someone else is paying.

People bidding on the same terms you are using as adsense, also know that google trends are sudden traffic. Therefore, they also know that they can get away with dirt cheap clicks, which means dirt cheap commissions. That holds true most of the time.

I've found CPA offers to be the most valuable. If you can find some kind of offer at AzoogleAds - Home - The leading performance based marketplace or www.cpaempire.com (or clickbooth, cj, whatever one, as long as its credible) that is relevant to your trend, and is low risk for the consumer, will usually do best.

I promote "free football jersey" CPA offers (and similar ones), whenever I see a sports team getting huge in google trends.

I've found that the most low risk, easy to do offers, make me the most money.

Second from that, related clickbank products with compelling sales letters also have proven worthwhile, especially in the weight loss, dating, and card playing niche.

The more money you can make as quickly as possible, is the more money you can flip the site for. When it comes to organic traffic, money in the bank today, is always better than the promise of a bit more money in the future.

More capital = More potential money in the hands of a smart go-getter, which you most likely are.

    Congrats on your achievement.

Chris, That was great reasoning for not using adsense on sites targeting hot trends.

I have used CPA before and have made some money with it. I tried it first, when I got a msn adcenter 50$ voucher.Made 33$. Maybe if I can optimize the campaign,I would break even.

Good for you for taking action

It's something how there can be a thread with tons of powerful techniques in it, and still people will question it and ponder rather then taking action. Now just keep multiplying your money like that!
