Flippa Rule Change!: No More "Buyer Guaranteed Income" Claims

I have to say that I'm glad to see this change.

It was really getting out of hand, you had people selling things like "200 autoblogs, I guarantee $10,000 per month!".

These junk listings were clogging up the site, and really devaluing Flippa as a whole, imo.

    Yeah, I received the email and I am very thankful for this move...

    Although it is true that some wbsites have real potential, the use of this term has been widely abused by scammers. Why I call this people who sells autoblogs scammers? because they mislead people.

    Example:

    Someone registered a domain howtoloseweight123.com and offered his site for sale. he thn claims that the keyword "how to lose weight" is a very good keyword (which is true) and that, the site has a great potential to earn $$. He then promised that everything will go into autopilot, even the promotion.

    Why this is misleading?

    Anybody who is doing SEO knows how difficult to rank that keyword in Google. The buyer may spend thousands on SEO and still could not get the rank he wants. That is the misleading part...and scammers are taking this for granted by luring other people to buy these websites with their impossible promises.

      Here's my example.. one of the current lists there... I'll pick some of it's content...

      - this guy is dreaming....

      DiscountQuotes.net is loaded with all the tools you need to run a respectable online business. There are already more than 65 insurance articles on this website and it is very easy to add more in minutes. Also, articles can also be added automatically if you choose.
      So far, I didn't see any "insurance" on its domain neither on it's title. The site so poorly optimized.. And considering that "insurance" is a top notch niche with a rock solid competition, you must hire an SEO company and spend thousands of dollars to put this site on top of google (if you are lucky enough), not to mention that content is pirated. - failed

      This website is set up to earn a potential of $2000/month or more. An SEO campaign has already been started and it shouldn't take long for this site to start ranking in Google search results for certain insurance keywords.
      This is exactly what I explained above. I can't imagine how this guy can sleep at night...
      When you see websites that make money in the first two weeks, this is what they are doing.
      I didn't know you can rank your site in 2 weeks and make money.. LOL

      This is exactly the reason why Flippa changed its rules....
