Just getting my toes in the door

Alright, im 17 and trying to get my toes in the door of the domain flipping industry to get some funds going for college. I've been doing a lot of research over the past few weeks. I've found some suitable domain names with essential keywords that have fairly low competition and 2k-50k searches a month in the google keyword search. These domains also have keywords that draw $3+ CPC.

My questions are regard basic guidance on these issues:

How should i finance this venture?
-I was thinking of getting some prepaid cards and using them to purchase hosting and the domain names.

Which hosting service/how much hosting will i need?
-I was thinking hostgator, because it seems like it reasonably priced and customers say they have really good customer support.

Which domain service should i purchase my domain from?
-I was thinking godaddy or namescheap

What PPC program should i use?
-I was thinking of going with google adsense just for ease, but i would need my parents to sign up with the account, because in the TOS, you need to be 18.

I have been researching what needs to be done to achieve top 10 page rank. With quality link building to and amazing content.

I was thinking of using wordpress (+/-)?

I am just looking for something that i can do in my spare time on the weekends when i am not busy with school, while earning a little bit of money.

I am looking to spend under $100.

Any other suggestions or tips?

Much appreciated,

    Well, well, well.

Buy a ticket to Vegas and gamble. That's a much safer investment compared to domain flipping.

Don't get me wrong, you can make money with domain flipping.
I made money with it too in the past. Registered a name for 8 bucks and sold it the next day for $2,500. I only registered the name and the next day I get an email from a guy asking whether I would want to sell. Plain luck.

You can also make money with balancing on a tight rope. Enough training and experience and you can do it.

But if you want to get funds going for college I would suggest other things.

Much faster, much easier, much less risk, much bigger earning potential: publish a WSO.

      100% agreed.
Only start domain flipping when you have ample cash to invest. Otherwise go for other methods. Internet marketing is full of huge methods.

Making a WSO successful is also extremely difficult. You need good reputation on the forum, you need extremelyy good knowledge to create a good product or to offer a service.

      Go for affiliate marketing.

Yeah, domain flipping can work, but it is speculative at best. I'd advise against it given your stated purpose for generating funds. I'd also advise against affiliate marketing, unless you are already well-versed in how to effectively market products online. Writing your own information products such as eBooks, reports, guides, and courses is the most profitable route in Internet marketing, in my opinion. You, however, have stated that you don't possess a lot expertise, so that isn't a viable option either. If I were you, I'd just get a regular 9 to 5 job. If you've done the research for domain flipping, and you are willing to risk what little capital you have then follow your heart. Don't let others sway you from any path if it feels right for you. I'd recommend GoDaddy.com for your domain purchases. .com's are going for a little under $8 right now. Check out turnkeycentral.com and go to the sidebar and click on the expired domains link. You can search for domains by keyword. You can often find pretty good ones there. Then go to Godaddy and get it. I'd recommend Hostgator for hosting for any reason. I use their baby hosting package to host unlimited websites for a little under $8 dollars a month. They also have excellent video tutorials and online help on how to use their hosting features and services. Good luck.

Oh! Almost forgot. Stay away from pay-per-click. If your knowledge level is still in its infancy, you'll just lose your shorts.

I'm also telling you not to go for domain flipping right now. You're too young now and have enough time to get much experienced. Then you can invest that big amount for domain issue.
