Hi there i have this site for about an year. i am basicly doing nothing but still i have the traffic a hundred visitors per day but no income whatsoever. i am thinking to close the site or may be you may give me some suggestions what am i doing wrong. i may think that 100 visitors per day is not enough even for a single click but if you multiply 100 * 30 *12 month you will get a 30000 a year and still no single click?? is that possible? i know i am not allowed to write the link yet couse my post counts is too low ... but may be the moderators will close their eyes for once.... the site name is followmanu with info on the end..... moderators can i just say i am sorry?

I went to your site, and I don't want to sound rude but it's hard to determine what the site is about. Your domain name has nothing to do with the content. Also, it's very difficult to see what you are promoting on there - I see links to some books and auctions though. It just seems like a broad entertainment-type blog and when people see it like that, it's going to be hard for them to get into the buying mindset.

The content is difficult to read too, as some of it doesn't make sense and it isn't broken up into digestible short paragraphs. To be honest, I think it's going to be extremely difficult to make money from that site. If I were you I'd probably put Adsense on there - that will give you a better chance of making some money I feel. Other than that, my opinion is you should turn your attention to a site or sites about a specific topic with good quality content and that is clear to the visitor what they can buy from visiting. Good luck, and sorry if I came off as harsh or rude.

If we exclude your clickbank and ebay short posts (your landing pages), you don't have any content whatsoever. You need quality unique content in order to make people interested in whatever you are promoting. It doesn't have to mean that you need to write unique articles, that's pretty difficult for most of internet marketers as hard to believe as it may sound, but what you can do is add posts containing internet pictures related to your niches, but make sure you edit them to change their size so that google can see your posts as unique. You can also add more targeted youtube or other videos in each post (which you are alreadt doing but randomly so far).Offer them something to see and you will make money either in adsense, clickbank or whatever you are promoting.Overall traffic will increase also if you tweet each post from 10 twitter accounts or more.

I haven't the opportunity now to check out the site, but judging by what others are saying, IMO most viewers won't click on anything but a back button if they feel they were slighted by non subjective content, or if they get paranoid that a site might be disingenuous.

Any football fan will click on a site and expect football info. Once the content is so obviously NOT about football your viewers will feel a tad misled - thereby not wanting to click on anything within your site for fear it's some sort of a scam leading to malware or some other nonsense. It also doesn't help that they end up seeing a heading with the word "sex", because that's gonna further fuel paranoia that any click will get them viagra emails until they bleed from their eyes.

Remember, most folks aren't savvy like we are, and even the slightest misdirection or confusion can cause normal cats to want out of a site quickly - just in case the site has potential to do harm. It wasn't that long ago that we all had to fight for authority just to get folks to consider buying online because everyone was so scared their credit cards would be stolen and used to buy expensive vacations for hackers. That paranoia is still hard coded in the DNA of many non savvy viewers.

You're likely not getting clicks cuz the confusion between topic and content is too wide a gap with no discernible reason.

        Just sayin'.

Lots of things are wrong about your site.

    1. Your title is Manchester United but your site actual title is "sex and lifestyle"

    2. Are you planning to have your adsense account banned? I see ads that says "horny"??? not to mention the word "sex" in the title.

    3. And you even have a post title that says "fukk him" on it...

I think you should totally change the site content and layout and focus blogging about Manchester United only.. no sex, no horny, etc...

I wouldn't worry too much about posting your site-name - nobody will be deleting your post, I think: it's clearly an "honest request for help/advice" rather than an attempt to draw traffic from the forum.

The usual reason for plenty of traffic and no income is a mismatch between the traffic and the income-source (i.e. you're selling/promoting/showing something for which the traffic isn't targeted). So, naturally, am wondering if this might be the case here. Where's the traffic coming from? This is, I think, the big question?

I must admit the site content surprised me, because I expected from the url that it would clearly be a football site connected with Manchester United: that's what "manu" normally means in url's, I think? So rather a mismatch there, too, perhaps?

To be honest, I don't quite know what the site's about, what it for, or whom it's for ... sorry if this sounds very critical. It's not all that easy to read either, to be honest (though if you want people to click on ads instead of reading the text that isn't necessarily a great failing, I suppose?).

Edited to add: I was typing while Liam and Adie (above) replied, and hadn't seen their posts, but basically I agree with their observations.

Your site is all over the place. A person doesn't know what the topic is about.

You have to talk about ONE topic on ONE niche and that's it.

Again, this site is all over the place and has no meaning behind it.

must be a joke. no way that site is getting 100 uniques a day. if it was, you'd likely get a few clicks from people just wanting to get the hell out of there.

Here's the reason for your zero income:

    Domain: followmanu.info
    Title: Follow Manchester United
Blog Heading: News sex and lifestyle
Blog description: … a small blog about everything
    Header image: Fruits
Posts: Preparation of Mayan Coffee, Natural Horse Therapies

    I think it's enough of a reason!

Well, why would I visit a Man U site to click an ad (not add) related to cooking?

Just look at your ads on your page as many have already stated. Your ads need to be relevent to what you are offering on your site. There for a fan site or what not is not going to draw the attention to sex related objects and vise versa.

If you would focus your ads just a little more you would see a much better improvement in both clicks and revenue.

    Hi Dolgov,

I don't want to appear rude but to offer this as constructive feedback. Your site's tagline is "a small blog about everything" and I think that sums up the problem.

In selling there's a maxim that if you try to sell to everyone you'll sell to no one.

There's the additional factor of using sex to sell.

Let's be honest, sex draws attention which is why it's used so often in marketing in one form or another. But just because it draws people in doesn't mean it will be a guaranteed buying crowd, there's a far greater likelihood of them being people looking for free porn.

I do have to say, on a more light-hearted note, that I can see the connection between Man. Utd. and sex though, because everytime I hear they're on television I go "oh f**k not them again!"

    Nigel

This site is all over the place! If you don't know what the site is about, then how will you know what to market? Even the most free form site can still have a main theme. For example, a site that follows the owner around to different locations and destinations may try and push travel or lifestyle related offers etc. Make it easy for your visitors to see what the site's main goal is. Are you trying to help them with love, travel, cooking, style, work etc.? Just make it clear and then you'll have a better understanding of how and what you should market.

  • I too thought the site might be about the football team.

Which brings me to wonder alexa, where are you from? Sometimes I think the UK, but then other times the US. Unless you made a search, I wouldn't have expected you to know about Manchester United let alone Man U, or red devils, but you didn't mention that one.

I do think ramone should propose by now, he's complemented you enough already over a long period haha. I hear long distance relationships can work ;D

Ah, so you are from the UK. If I'm ever in huge debt, I know who to contact

And Ramone is fine, don't spoil his fun I've got to answer to my gf if she sees any attractive pictures while I'm surfing, so I'm merely putting up some defences if she ever happens to see threads in which you speak too haha

To be honest the site is a little misleading, I mean the description of the website is Follow Manchester united so you'd expect it to be a football site but it's very hard at first glance, to understand what it's about.

Think about when you visit a site, you give it literally a few seconds and that's it you're decided whether you understand the contents, the theme/topic so really you need to either to change the content to more of a football then (general football content / soccer if you are from the US) or it needs to be aimed specifically at Manchester United.

Done right I think you could make a fair amount of moolah but you'd need to focus on specific products or affiliates (just my 2 cents)
