Help me find a WSO please...

Hi guys,

it's driving me crazy - two or three weeks ago, I bought a WSO (at least I think it was a WSO) that I found really great - and now I can't find it the the depths of my harddrive.

Maybe one of you bought it and knows what I'm talking about - would be great if you could PM me the title:

Basically, it's about a "trick" that relies on creating a "fake" profile on Facebook, friending with loads of people (by using a program such as acute ID email engine) and then promoting products...

I remember the goal being to create 5000 friends within 30 days and then startin gto promote.

Does this ring a bell with anyone?

Please answer or PM if you have any clue about the name.

Thanks
Robert

To help with a title I have logged into my paypal before and searched payment history for the name. I then do a search for that title in my hd for the product and email for the download links. I have lost stuff before too and I hope that helps a bit.

      @Colin: Facebook only.
@WillR: It's definitely not something FB would appreciate I guess....
@Andie: Tried that already, but didn't help... that's what's driving me crazy :-) I remember some very specific terms (tools) that I even bought afterwards, but even a full-text search didn't help... like it disappeared from my HD....

I think you should mention that you are talking about Facebook in the OP. Otherwise people will assume that you are talking about mass spamming the WF.

    Rob,

I'm not sure of the WSO you are referring to but I have definitely come across products about this method before. IMO you are much better off just building the friends naturally or creating a fan page and attracting fans to that.

Yes, it is going to take a little longer doing things this way but such is life. However remember that those who have actually clicked on a button to 'Like' your fanpage are going to be a lot more reactive to your messages and promotions than a list of friends who have been added to your profile automatically.

If I had to do this right now here's what I would do.

Start a fan page for your niche. Let's say for this example you are targeting magic tricks. I would create a new fan page called something like 'Magic Tricks Exposed...'

Over the next few weeks I would then go to Youtube every 1 or 2 days, grab a popular magic trick video and then post it on the wall in my fan page. People are not going to care where the videos come from if they enjoy them, trust me. A lot of times people will actually thank you for sharing the video.

With the recent changes in Facebook you can now use Facebook as your fanpage. What this means is you can then go and find other closely related magic pages and post some popular magic videos in there under the name of your fanpage. When people in these other fanpages watch the video and enjoy it, they will then see the name of your fanpage and naturally want to click through to see what else you have to offer.

The important thing here is to use videos that are already popular on Youtube and make sure you add a new one every 1 or 2 days to start with. The reason you want to do this is because anytime someone leaves a comment on your video, all their friends will see a reference to your fanpage in their news feed.

When posting the videos every few days make sure you test doing them at different times of the day. I have noticed big differences in response based on when a video is posted.

Do the above for a few weeks maybe a month and your fanpage should start to take off naturally. The more interaction you have with your fans the faster it will grow. Another thing I like to do is ask questions every now and then. For this example you might post something like.. "What was the first magic trick you ever did?". These sorts of posts are good because they will attract a lot of comments from your fans which mean your page will spread a lot faster, as more and more of their friends see them interacting with your page.

THIS is how to build a fanpage naturally and easily.

    Hi WillR,

thank you very much for your detailed post, really appreciate it.
I really understand what you're saying - I got lists of 15'000 subscribers that I make less per email from than from another list of 200+k subscribers, because they are just not that targeted; however, I always like to try other things and that was something very interesting that I just wanted to give a shot.

Btw, I'll PM you about your graphics packages. We're starting a new project that will need loads of email graphics for - let's discuss this in privacy.

    All the best,
    Robert
