Hi guys, I want to flip :
  1. one website
  2. one domain
these 2 are sold separately because it's not related each other, just different niche.

Is $19 flippa listing fee for one listing or multiple listing?

I'm curious as to why you would say this. People are paying it, aren't they? Should they have lower prices, even though they know people would pay more? I don't think that would be a smart business move.

There really isn't much competition, is the reason.

Compare it to other traditional auction sites. Their fees are ridiculous.

I agree that their fees are ridiculous. This means if you have a small site that you want to sell for $100 than they get 20 percent. I would not even consider selling a domain there unless it is a really good one!!

It's over 20%, because they take 5% of the sale price and they get even more if you purchase any upgrades. Wouldn't be the brightest move to purchase upgrades on a $100 site, though.

Make it 22.5%. Lets split the 5% with the buyer

Well, there you have it. They are a targeted niche auction site with no real competition. That is why their prices don't compare to "traditional auction sites".

do you think we have a better way to flip our website n domain out of flippa? fastest way then this?

Also, what do you think if after they paid the listing fee, then the flipping is not successful, will they get refund or it'll be just a waste?

If you sold a $100 site on eBay and used every upgrade you can buy, you only pay $14.95 total. Only $5.95 if not sold. Cheaper than Flippa's initial listing fee :\

I know it is a bit ludicrous. Also, keep in mind they have an exclusive and non-exclusive clause if you sell it by auction. IF you put it on auction, you can't also list it on EBAY hoping to get a better price.

Double crazy now egh?? :0 lol

You can however list it in their new "private" sales option listing. Its so you can advertise it elsewhere and also list it elsewhere without getting locked into Exclusive listing clause.

Although Flippa fee is way above the meter, you are almost 100% guaranteed that your site will get sold if you list a quality site. People visit Flippa to buy and sell site and nothing else. In ebay, you'll get general audience.

But yes, I agree.. fee is little bit high...

..additionally, I would prefer paying Flippa and WF than paying DP for $24.month for nothing....

      Certainly not 100% guaranteed.

I attempted to sell a site there for less than 10 months revenue. Purchased several upgrades. Included free hosting and SEO. Was a bust :\

Hmmm, I don't know what is your listing strategy but based on my personal experience since sitepoint marketplace, I only failed to sell twice with 34 total site listings. And I knew why those sites were not sold....quality and my weak sales hype.

Flippa has made over $2.43MM just on their commission alone. $1.33MM in 2010 for only the $19 listing fee of websites that sold that received comments. I can't find a figure for the number of unsold. Again, does not include every listing, or upgrades.

I wonder what their total revenue for 2010 was.

If you have a good site, which you expect to sell for a decent amount, Flippa is the only place to sell. You might not get as many willing buyers elsewhere.

Many users list several domains and websites (even if they are not related) in one listing and sell them as a package to cut on listing cost. You can do that too.

If you want, you can tell others in forums, maybe, here. You can find buyers.
