I'm sharing my IM business plan... what do u think? :)

Hi, I can say I'm still a newbie... this is my first serious project again since I lost too much money in HYIPs in 2007 after I failed badly with promoting sexual pills using google cash method back in 2005. I had to quit IM for a long time 'coz my girlfriend got preignant and I got a regular job so I could pay-off the debt and have enough money to come back to IM... It's been a loooong time...

So... I'll be very happy with you if you read my plan and share what you think

I plan to launch 10 different niche websites in the health topic. I'll work on 1 site per month.

These sites will be exact keyword domain for keywords with 5k avg local searches and all sites will be wordpress based.

Monetization will be made through clickbank affiliate products and some other aff products.

I plan to hire people to write at least 10 articles for each site.

My planned financial budget is 50Us$ per month... 10Us$ will go for hosting, 10Us$ for domain registration, and the rest for outsourcing article writing.

time budget will be 14 hrs per week.

For each site, this will be the process:

#1- Keyword research for any low competition long tail keyword with 3k to 7k local searchs/month. Register exact keyword domain and install a wp blog.
#2- Find affiliate product and create some pages at my wordpress blog, talking about these 'recommended' products.
#3- Hire the writer to write 10 articles related to the site.
#4- Start building links through site analyzer submissions, search engines, and 50 manual directory submissions.
#5- Writer finishes the 10 articles and I upload them at the blog 1 article each 2 days. I manually send the articles to 25 article directories.
#6- I manually create other content type (pdfs/ppts/youtube videos) with the articles and spread them I'm not sure where to yet.

By doing this I expect to rank in the top 3 google results and have enough visitors. Free organic search engine traffic will be the only traffic source

I expect to have an average income of 50 Us$ per site. By the end of the year the 10 websites should be giving me a total income of 500 Us$/ month

What do you think? is this possible..? is there anything that could make my plan better?

thanks for reading

Henry

I wouldn't share it, if it works keep it to you. Otherwise alot of people are going to use it and maybe after that it doesn't work anymore

#1- Keyword research for any low competition long tail keyword with 3k to 7k local searchs/month. Register exact keyword domain and install a wp blog.

A lot easier said than done. EMD in the health niche are not very easy to find.

#2- Find affiliate product and create some pages at my wordpress blog, talking about these 'recommended' products.

You could do with some sort of strategy here.

#3- Hire the writer to write 10 articles related to the site.

You plan to have a writer write 10 articles on a $12.50 a week budget? Very bad idea.

#4- Start building links through site analyzer submissions, search engines, and 50 manual directory submissions.

Not really a strong backlinking plan if you ask me.

#5- Writer finishes the 10 articles and I upload them at the blog 1 article each 2 days. I manually send the articles to 25 article directories.

I think you'd be lucky to get these articles approved to any directory worth its salt but I could be wrong.

#6- I manually create other content type (pdfs/ppts/youtube videos) with the articles and spread them I'm not sure where to yet.

No strategy so not really a good idea.

    Conclusion...

The premise of the idea is okay but this won't work. I'd go back to the drawing board and think how you can make 1 site that is of reasonable quality before making 5 bad ones.

Well, I have reviewed three WSO's in the last 3 days. Each one laying out a better business plan.

Not that your plan will not work but it sounds a little week and a little long term for not that much return.

If you want to stick to your plan I would also recommend to start with one web site and make it profitable. Once it works you can either decide to flip the site or keep it.

Why outsource your articles? Given your budget, you'll just end up getting a bunch of rubbish in return.

How about focusing on one WP site at a time. Write your own articles, making them as useful and readable as possible. See if you can turn a profit, then reassess and see if you're ready to scale up.

You don't want to outsource the articles and have poor content be your downfall.

Henry, I want to congratulate you on your attitude of IM being a business and you are treating it as such. This is a great first step. You have gotten some good advice here; I do agree with the one website first. We can get bogged down with too many details and settle for mediocrity. . . . there's so much of that out there already.

Keep reporting to us what's happening; this is such a great support group.
      Best of success to you!

I think if you focus on each site in turn, you may be able to make the basics of your plan work for you, but feel there may be some issues along the way.

Given a $50/month budget, you may be cutting it pretty thin.

First month, $20 for new domain name and new hosting, $30 for articles.
Second and subsequent months, S10 for hosting account (can handle multiple sites/blogs) $10 for new domain name, $30 for articles.

Depending on your hosting provider, you may have increased costs after the fifth month. Some hosting providers only let you host 5 wordpress blogs per hosting account (mostly due to mySQL limitations.) This depends on the provider and the plan you select.

Getting 10 articles outsourced for $30 is pretty cheap, and the articles will likely read poorly as a result. If I only had $30 left, I'd probably write the articles myself. After all, you're only posting one every second day once you start. I'd save the money until later, when you go into maintenance mode (my next paragraph).

After posting 10 articles over 20 days, you suddenly stop posting on each site. I'd plan to add at least one article a week to each of your existing sites as you go forward in what I call "maintenance mode". Otherwise, if you are successful in getting good search engine ranking, you will lose it once you stop posting... I can't tell you how many articles a month it takes to "stay current" with the search engines and keep your page ranking, but I would be very surprised if your page rank didn't drop precipitously once you stop posting.

    Look at it this way...

If you have the ambitious to get 10 different sites up and running, you are already ahead of 95% of other people... You have the determination it takes...

But cut it down to one site... It's Guaranteed that your 1 site will be of higher quality than 10 sites would. Quality is all that matters. Once you make money you can expand to quantity.

Target your focus, a market, 1 or 2 traffic methods, and test... Only keep pushing on what is giving you good results...

Personally I find having one large site targeting a variety of keywords per post works well. I just created a mass site in the health niche and next thing I know after letting it sit for a few months some of my terms are starting to appear in the top 200 in the SERPS so I've taken focus onto those keywords and plan to amp them up to reach higher goals.

Meanwhile I've noticed with the health niche people like to be social. I've started a youtube channel to promote my site and am working towards creating a twitter account quite possibly. The more I can engage my audience the more visitors to my site and the more likely I am to turn a profit.

Especially if I create a list.

This is my experience my ideas swirling in my mind but I hope they pertain to you. The KEY trick is to do something for your site regularly. even if your busy one week, spend the everyday of the next working on your site when you have time.

Its amazing what can happen... I had almost given up on my health site, now I'm excited again and encouraged!

You don't need 10 articles to get a great ranking.

    You need backlinks, though.

If only backlinking can lead a site towards #1 position, would you please like to share the backlinking strategy you are talking about?

Hi everyone.. I was just looking at my past posts. This is around more than 2 years old now.

Just to let a registry, this project failed. I got into #1 rank at google for some sites but neither of them actually had a decent amount of traffic. There was only one that converted around 20 US$ per month some months.

However, it was a good and HIGHLY EXPENSIVE learning experience as I ended up spending more than I planned to, on article writing and SEO services.

I don't recommend this strategy. And that's certified.

Backlinks alone can't be helpful, you need strong keywords and content floating to your site.

    Yes. I agree with MoneyMaker2012.

This is what I normally do to get increase my ranking on Google and other search engines.

First, I would find long tail and targeted to my market keywords. (About 40)

Second, I would use an excel workbook to store these keywords.

Third, I will search the top three pages of google and find if I can find any sites that is commentable.

Tip of the day: Try not to use facebook commenting because you may easily get banned when you spam too much and under normal circumstances, you won't get a lot of traffic through it.

Fourth, I would comment on these sites to get a higher ranking in the search engines.

Fifth, after you have completed all this for all your keywords, you can choose to search for more keywords related to your market or you can further increase your ranking in the search engines through searching for commentable websites in the top 10 pages and so on.

    Hope this helps!

    Ethan

P.S. I can't reveal too much of this strategy that I developed though as many people may use it and my strategy may not work anymore.
