Hi everyone,

I'm not only a newbie to online marketing but to this fourm as well.

I have spent well over 100 hours of reaserch on various topics:

Starting right from getting a domain name to who is my hosting company going to be. I didn't even know what the hell a back link was or even keywords and platform plugins.

I have noticed that through my reaserch i would stumble on to some other important information. Everytime I found what I was looking for and how to do it, their was something else and so on.

I could not imagine how anyone would start without knowing all this info and the beauty of it was that I found most of it right here in this fourm!

So congrats and thanks to everyone who post here, very informative and helpful.

I don't feel like such a newbie anymore, I actually know something.

I haven't even launched any sites or blogs yet, I want to do it right.
A good quality site that is informative. Along with that I want to launch a series of sites (2-3 to start) strictly for affiliate sales.
**** I don't even know what to write about so I think I will try the affiliate route and see what happens.

I think I'm ready to just start....go for it.....get a domain, hosting and start building.

The hours I have spent on this conputer reaserching this, dosn't seem like much time at all...before you know it 10 hours goes by with only 2 smoke breaks. If anything I just might be able to quit smoking..LOL

I will continue and look foward to all of your help and support here at warrior forum.

Thanks!!!
I will let all you know how it goes when I launch

Be careful with what you say right there. You will never achieve perfection. Not taking action and wanting to learn more and more is not going to take you anywhere and is one major problem for every internet marketer wannabe. Start taking action, and learn in the process, then apply new things you learn to the things you are already doing. That's the way to go.

Hi, welcome to WF. Wish you all the best. There are a lot of useful information here that I've been trying to digest little by little, and in the meantime trying not to get lost and end up nowhere.

If you think you're ready for a domain name and site, I'm assuming you already have a niche picked out. For the first site (or blog) or series of them I would suggest you start with something you are passionate about. At the very least, it should be something you are interested in and have some knowledge about.

    Why?

First, it is easier to get started. As you start writing blog posts, you will find there can be a lot of research, and it helps a lot if you know about the topic first. I would NOT suggest you do something in the IM category/niche. Making money online is probably the toughest niche to make money in. It is not only the most competitive, it has the least "emotional element" other than the desire to make a million overnight. Other niches (weight loss, self help topics, dating or even hobbies like golf) have large audiences that are willing to spend money to help them or fix their problem.

If you are still on the fence as to what niche(s) you are considerinig, and still want to get a domain name, you could get one related to the general topic or your name (or planned company name). Many people will tell you that you need the domain name to contain your keywords, and it would seem to help, but may not be the biggest factor in getting a good search engine ranking, as a number of people seem to do well with a relatively generic domain name. If you want to get all the help you can, you will probably want to wait and get a domain name that is as specific as possible to your intended product niche.

I agree with PabloVTB. Don't wait for perfection or you will always be waiting. Once you get a decent idea of what to do, jump into the pool. Just be aware that the first strokes are to keep you from drowning, and you will gain expertise as you go along. If you pay attention to what works for you and what doesn't, and keep at it, you will be swimming along nicely in a short period of time, so to speak.

Whatever you do, don't get caught in "analysis paralysis". There is no shame in failing, only in quitting. One way to think of it is that you haven't failed until you quit. Most of the very successful internet marketers have had a failure or two (or at least some setbacks) along the way to their success.

Pick a plan. Document it to your satisfaction. Execute. Analyze as you go. Change the plan as needed to move forward. Rinse and Repeat until you succeed.
