What's The One Thing You Want To Learn To Make 2009 A Financial Success For Your IM Business?

2009 is fast upon us all. What One Thing Do You Need To Learn To Make 2009 A Great Year For Your Internet Marketing Business?

Let's say for a minute that you found a magic jar. You know it's magic because it's a funky blue color with odd red and orange trim. The jar has a lid which you quickly remove...

You look inside first, because you're certainly not going to reach a blind hand into an unknown vessel - especially not a magic one. As you peer in, you think you see something. It seems safe so you reach in to find a piece of paper...You almost drop the jar with excitement as you unfold the paper. On it is some writing...writing which gives you the secret to the magic jar:

"What's the one thing you want to learn how to do better with
your internet marketing business?"

How do you answer the question?

Is there something you'd like to learn about using the web, your website, your ezine list, social media, ppc, list building, niche marketing or your blog?

What about new business ideas - would you like to find new niches to market in, or how to find quality jv partners?

What would it be?

What something, that if you learned and could really be better at, would make all the difference? What would make you more effective with your internet marketing business in 2009?

Whats that one thing that you could learn, which would really help you make more money in 2009 and help you reach your financial goals?

Let me know what that one thing is.

I'll compile the results and list them for everyone in a new thread.

Will 2009 be your banner year?

I want to do more outsourcing and set up systems to automate what I do, so that I can use my time more efficiently and need fewer hours in my week.

I am only working about 20-25 hours a week now, but I want to cut that down even more.

Shay is right... automation is the key...

I have read some inspiring ads written 50 years ago about automated/coin operated vending machines, everything from soda pop machines, cigarette machines, and my favorite, the coin operated laundromat.

My goal for the coming year is to setup multiple 'online vending machines' so to speak...

For me it's focus as well. Not just on the daily schedule though, but also on the strategy. There is so many ways to succed, but if you try all of them at once it gets that much more difficult.

          Hey Jim

I know what i want from my sites and the layouts and how I want to lead the customer thru etc etc its just it takes me a long time to get the tecchy things up there in the first place and its that thats holding me back.
Id outsource if i knew i was gonna get a good ROI on it, but without testing first you dont know, and testing means potential for low ROI so outsourcing for that purpose is more prohibitive.

The one thing that I want to learn is how to effectively outsource!

I know that once I work this out, this is the key to managing my business without it managing me. I really don't want to spend hours and hours sitting in front of a computer screen managing every aspect of my business, especially the tedious stuff.

Do I want to let go entirely? NO!

The good thing is I've just outsourced my first two jobs and only time will tell if I have chosen the right people to do these jobs!

Outsourcing seems like a popular choice.

But here is the question...after you master the skill of outsourcing...how are you gong to make more money in 2009...

Or more importantly what do you need to learn and do with the free time you have, now that you have outsourced?

I personally believe that if I learn how to "effectively outsource" then I can build my business broader and then higher.

What I want more than anything is to have as much passive income coming in as possible so that I can go sit on a beach for a month, whenever I want to, with my daughter and my family and friends. No worrying about bills, the business or how much things cost!

That is my goal! That's what keeps me up at night at the moment: figuring out how to get a money making system working time and time again so that I can then outsource the bugger and go sit on a beach for as long as I want!

I'm more interested in learning the skill for myself, just looking for the best way to get great expertise without having to pay $5000 for a coaching program or any other amount that I can't afford at the moment (Not saying it's not worth it).

Since the landing page is already up, I've just been working on dialing it (Mainly by studying other software landing pages). People like my product I just need to work on selling it better, and then reinvest the money to making more features, upsells, and addons!

So I'd have to say that's the only problem holding me back because I've already built something good and have it ready to go, I just need to make it sell like crazy to attract the best affiliates.

When we talk about focus...lets talk about only focusing on revenue producing concerns.

So many individuals in business spend the majority of their time each day working on everything but revenue producing tasks. So if you need to focus...what specifically do you need to focus on more to produce revenue for yourself in 2009?

By the way in business there are only three ways to make money:

    1) Increase your number of customers
    2) Increase the dollar amount your customers pay you on each sale &
    3) Increase the how fast(frequency) your customers re-buy from you.

Try to work these three methods into your focus for 2009...

    Better focus.

I would rather be amazing at one thing than be a jack of all trades and a master of none. I find I run between 5 or 6 potential business ventures and end up leaving most of them unfinished and on the back burner, so for me, focus on one thing, become an expert at it, take it as far as I can, then move on to the next thing, get good at that...rinse and repeat.

What has held you back in the past focusing on one venture?

    Lack of planning?

    Unsure of it's success?

Right now...list which of the 5-6 ventures you just mentioned, you have the most knowledge about and have done the most work on. Whatever that one is...do the following & list your results in this post or create a new post(let me know which one) & tell the warrior forum how your doing.

    1) List what the venture is
    2) List why you can make money in it...be specific
    3) If you unsure how to make money in in, ask a question in the warrior forum to find the answer
    4) List the steps you have to do to start having revenue being produced in this venture
    5) Break down these steps into a action plan per week...producing a specific time line action plan for this venture
    6) Get started on the one obstacle that has been holding you back right now...

And Let Us Know Your Success.

It's great to see that outsourcing and automation has taken on such a major role in people's planning - that leads to leverage which is the real key to building a big business.

Of course, before you can outsource successfully, you need to have identified at least one process that works.

    What will your outsource?
    • Your market research?
    • Your website development?
    • Your affiliate marketing?
    • Your product development?
    • Your traffic generation?
    • Your branding and publicity?
    • Your back-office or customer support?

Eventually, you can outsource each of these (or hire staff to cover off one or more of them), but it all starts with identifying a system for matching a desire to a purchase, making that more profitable and then outsourcing to scale larger.

This past year I had 4 very successful products outsourced - shared the exact process with our members - but it all starts with taking action yourself first, until you are comfortable you know the business inside and out, then you can outsource to scale it larger. Outsourcing is NOT a substitute for not having a profitable model in place.
