How to you keep up with industry changes?
While the basic principles of business really haven't changed, a lot of the techniques for doing business are changing relatively rapidly.
A couple of examples:
* Google Places/online business directories/etc. are starting to replace the traditional Yellow Pages
* Email marketing is being used in addition to direct marketing
* Businesses are expected to have a website
And I'm sure you can think of a lot more examples. And keeping up with the many changes taking place can be a full time job.
So how do you track/follow leading practices as they develop?
Or is it even necessary to track/be aware of them, and just wait until they become mainstream?
