Warrior In Need: Looking for Information

Greetings Warriors,

I've been a member of this community for a decent period of time and I'm always amazed at generous sharing of information. I'm posting this today because I'm looking for a way to raise a decent chunk of change in the next few months or so. Four days ago my four year old son was diagnosed with acute myelogenous leukemia (AML).

While I do have a full time job, my health insurance will in no way be enough to cover all of his medical expenses.

I have been also working on starting up my own business, while continuing some other projects online as well. While the progress I have made will be of some help in regards to our new expenses - it wont nearly be enough.

Please do not misconstrue this as a form of me soliciting donations. I do not want any of your hard earned money, that goes against my beliefs. I'm a hard worker and with the help of God my family will get through this.

Though, I do want your ideas and information.

Do you know of a WSO that will work? Are you looking for a JV in a new project? I do have some money that I've tucked away and am willing to put it to work.

I am looking for any way I can generate an extra 3k - 4k a month for the next few months here.

Again, I'm just looking for advice and maybe a gentle nudge in the right direction. In the past I've received a ton of great information and wisdom from the members of this forum, and am just looking for a little bit more.

Just so you're aware of the things I've done in the past since I started working in IM and off-line marketing:

Affiliate advertising (a member to a few different affiliate networks)
Article writing
Webdesign
A couple of organically driven Amazon sites.

Please don't interpret this as a cry for help. My family and I will beat this and we'll be stronger for it. My three year old has a heart of a lion and he can fight like no other. Thank you for reading.

Lloyd, I see you joined in October of 2010. I ran into some serious issues in July of 2009 and Warriors helped my family get through it.

This is so much more than a "marketing forum", it's a family (warts and all). I know how much a kind word or well wishes help.

        Anyway, we're there for you.

        All the best,

        Lloyd,

I'd suggest latching onto simple, quick ideas that require a minimum of time and effort (and money), and a little bit of lateral thinking .

        Prime example - if you don't have Brad's Case Study #1 or #2, grab #2 and have a read, it's $5 I believe.

Very, very simple way of taking something simple from Ffiver.com and flipping it into something you can sell easily - and then repeat and rinse!!!

        http://www.warriorforum.com/warrior-...vp9Um0vGyU10Hb

Do 5 or six of these a month and you shuld be rolling - and each month will add to last month etc etc - rolling income.

Being a dad to a son myself - I wish you, your son and your family all the best and am happy to help where possible, just PM me!

        Thoughts are with you!

        Best regards

        Rufus

Thanks! I had not seen that before. This is exactly something that I'm working for. Obviously, the time that I'm going to have to work on online and offline ventures is going to be severely lacking in the next few months. Thank you again!

Get your OWN WSO started. IF you are good at something that you have done in the past offer your own know how:
Affiliate advertising (a member to a few different affiliate networks)
    Article writing
    Webdesign
A couple of organically driven Amazon sites.

I am considering putting together some of my information together and attempting to get it out there. I do have quite a bit of experienced in trying new things in regards to online and offline marketing. I appreciate you bringing this up though. I'm just looking for other methods people possibly use to generate some cash in a pinch.

Hello Lloyd - Thinking of you, your family and your son at this very difficult time.

I'm not an expert on things like this, but I see that you're able to do webdesign. I know that in the past, when others have been in tricky situations, warriors have suggested approaching local business and asking them whether they'd be interested in buying a website from you. You can then design it and set up hosting and stuff for them, getting affiliate commissions as part of your revenue as well.

As I said, I'm really not an expert in all these things, and I'm sure that somewhere on this board, someone's explained that process better than me. However, hope that it helps and gives you a springboard for your success to come.

Hey mate, a great thing you can do is go to Craigslist "Free" section and pick up some free items. Then re-list them on Craigslist for a cheap price. Make sure it covers your gas expense, and you will always be in the green making a profit!

Your situation is a good fit for the activity that this site can do for you:

Raise Money for YOU! How to raise money on your donation website!

I set one up for another purpose. You can see it here:

Help Support A Boy and His Fish by Debra Gravelle - GoFundMe

The upside is you can get some direct help quickly. The downside, this is what I'm at a stump about at the moment, is that you have to promote yourself until you get 100 dollars worth of donations before you can be included into thier search function which btw is critical to the success of what you can do with that site.

        Thanks Debra,

I will take a look at that and consider it. Though, I'm really not big fan of hand outs. Maybe it is a pride thing? I'm not exactly sure, but I'm one of those individuals who likes to take care of his own problems. I hope that does not sound too conceited, and I really do appreciate pointing that out to me. I'll look into it.

          Your right...it is pride.

I have that problem and most every decent person has that problem. Provided you were raised right.

Let me tell you what it's like on the other side of that pole.

When a decent humble person expresses a need and asks not for a hand, it deprives the patron the feeling of fulfillment. If you reject a genuine heartfelt offer of help, you destory the validation of hope.

I don't really mean to sound harse. I just wanted you to understand the other side of that fence. Maybe pride ain't so important.

      Thanks Kathy,

I'm fortunate that my "little Warrior" is just that, a warrior. He might of inherited some of my bad qualities but he got quite a bit of the good too. Kid has a ton of fight in him, and I know God will see us through.

    Lloyd,

I have something that no one on this forum has yet.

It's the biggest thing on the internet right now and
I can work with you in a JV relationship without any money from you.

First take a look at what I have done on my Facebook page and then
go to the link on the page to see how I'm offering this to everyone in
    my local community.

Jump on this now and you could make what you are looking for in the
    next 30-60 days.

I'm pulling in an average of $600 a week from my own efforts and just
    made the JV program available.

I'm not quite sure what to suggest to make 3-4k a month from a standing start, though I do believe right now your motivation levels will be higher than most.

I would like to say I wish your son and the rest of you all the luck in the world in beating this, which I'm sure you can.

There have been other Warriors here, that people have fund raised for, Warrior Kim has a terrible Kidney affliction. I know you don't want to but you could approach one of the Mods or Allen and ask if it would be possible to try and raise the money and any leftover donate to charity. I've never had a signature but I have had a link pointing to Kims donation page.

You could create a donation page, heck, put a video of your son on there with you. Whatever. The point is, if I was you, I'd not be thinking about pride at a time like this, though I admire you for it all the same.

Thank you for the kind words and thoughts, Richard. I'm actually considering setting up a donations page through a site that was previously mentioned in this thread. I'll be sure to drop a link, if and when I decide to get it all setup. Thank you again though for your suggestions and thoughts!
