List Building tactics for Personal Finance Site

Fellow Warriors,

I need a little help as I'm diving into list building head first!

I've got a product completely finished and ready to go and I'm in my prelaunch phase now. Finding potential affiliate partners and list building is my top priority at the moment.

Do you guys have any suggestions for list building in the personal finance niche?

I've gone ahead and started about 25 articles which I'll be submitting to all directories. I'm going to start activity in the bigger personal finance forums to create buzz and redirect people to my squeeze page. SEO is also on the list.

Anyone know of any warriors to hire as well to help list build? Although I feel list building should be more personal because you really want to know where the people are coming from etc, but I may as well ask.

Any help would be appreciated!

    One of my niches actually is in the financial markets. Perhaps the quickest way to build a list is through solo ads. You can find some in the JV forum. Also, consider sending your articles directly to ezine publishers in addition to the top article directories.

      I checked out the JV forum and that does sound like a good idea. Since I'm starting with a zero list, do you think think starting a a thread in that forum asking people with a finance list to do a solo ad for me for a price sound reasonable? I'm not exactly sure how to approach it but the concept is there for sure.

        You can certainly start a thread in the JV Forum looking for JV partners, affiliates, or sending solo ads.

        Another option is perhaps to consider the Directory of Ezines (directoryof ezines.com) which lists ezine publishers by niche market (including finance) and provides the number of subscribers, demographics, and ad rates. Many, if not most, of these ezine publishers are also looking for relevant articles as content to send to their subscribers. Submitting your articles to these targeted ezines will generate high quality traffic to your squeeze page/offer.

    since you have a squeeze page, then you are almost done.. now you just need to drive traffic to this squeeze page and people will be joining your list faster than you can imagine ..

    The fastest way by far to create your list is buying traffic, that is the most targeted kind of lead you will ever get, why? easy, they are looking already for a solution, so I will suggest you to start buying traffic.

    I would recommend doing some guest blogging in your niche on blogs that have high authority and traffic. Make sure they allow you to put a link in your author signature.

    Personally I have gotten amazing results from guest blogging on places like Search Engine Journal, and mentioning a free IM course I offer.
