hello,

Do any of you use video/audio marketing to promote your sites etc?

I have read a lot about this but there are so many video software out there, it is hard to choose and really, is it worth it?,

Any take on that?

Thanks!

Yes sometimes I use video marketing to promote my site and I usually use the after effect, adobe premiere and ProShow

  • Yes, I use videos. Not all the time though.

Nothing too fancy. Generally video versions of articles, or Animoto style slideshows.

For sales videos, I'd do something more, but if it's just for YouTube traffic, or for Squidoo, that's all more than good enough.

thanks for your answer! which programme/software do you use to make the videos? I am really not very techy and i don't want to buy one of those shiny things that promise to make thousands of videos in 10 minutes!

      thanks in advance

I use a cheapo video camera, Windows Live Movie Maker, and YouTube to link it back to my site. I just make helpful videos and share them with my list and social networks. I get a lotsa leads from this!

I use Tube Toolbox to add friends, because I spent hours per day waiting for the limit to end so I could add more friends, but the software does that for me. Completely within YouTube's TOS.

I have been getting 200-300 views per video lately with only 89 subscribers so thats quite a bit of traffic from YouTube alone. I want to use Traffic Geyser soon, but its a bit pricey at $97 a month, but from what I have heard its well worth it.

  • I just generally use Camtasia and do a screen capture. If you can't afford Camtasia, then I was quite happy with Camstudio before then (which is free).

Camstudio is really cool, i just started video marketing and doing demos and training courses, Once you work out the features it is quite a good little program.

I love being able to drop message boxes and speach bubbles in to point out facts etc.

Once you get over heariing your own voice and feeling weird I recommend video marketing. Its even FUN.

CAMSTUDIO make sure you get it from the main site, I got some horrible versions from mirrors and download sites.

I love videos. You can get a lot of traffic from YouTube especially if you know how to optimize your videos.

I still firmly believe that video marketing will make a huge surge in the next year. The traffic you can get from this is unbelieveable and the ability to get a video ranked on the first page of you tube and google is simply awesome!! I was able to take a 3 popular keywords and get them all ranked on the first page of yt and google within 2 months. My views went from 1000 to 55,000 in a matter of days.

The more senses that you can make somebody use, the more involved they will get with you and feel closer to you. Video can touch 2 of your main senses... sight and sound. Put some good material with that and you'll create a massive connection with your viewers.

Video marketing is one of the biggest weapon in my arsenal. Youtube is the 2nd biggest search engine after Google. Why wouldn't you take advantage of this?

video works very well for local searches.i choose five to ten local keyword searches
and get people on fiverr to do short videos on them with a watermark link and a link on the youtube description to my inner pages e.g mypage.com/keyword1.html . the video title will include keyword1 and i will build backlinks to the video..you can get on the first page of google for local keywords with this.

Yes, I use videos - I also make them (see my sig for details).

Camtasia is best for screen capture videos. If you can't afford it up front you can download a 30 day trial version and pay for it from your first sale.

I have been planning to make YouTube videos about organic gardening for my site. I am FAR behind this year on the garden, so I keep ending up out in the garden sans video camera. I think traffic from YouTube would be great, and I'd likely do articles with the video embedded on my site. Would that be an appropriate way to go?

I've used Camtasia and Windows Movie Maker. They work fine and they are free! They are a great way to get started.

I'm now using Camstudio and I use Pinnicle to put the screen capture and video camera stuff together.

I also just embed others videos on some of my sites, if I think it will add value to my visitors.
