Can I Give A 105% (or more) Money Back Guarantee on A WSO?

Just a quick question...

Can I give a 100%+ money back guarantee for a WSO? I'm thinking I want to try a 105% guarantee....

Any experience with this?

Thanks in advance!

Sure, you can offer 105% or more back... just make damn sure you honor it to anyone who asks for it.

To start with, do you realize that 100 percent guarantee simply means that you will return ALL the money a customer may have paid if such customer isn't satisfied with your product or service.

Then 105% guarantee also means that you will pay him or her back the money she or he paid for your product or service and still pay him or her extra 5%!

If you are willing to honor that, why not?

    @Ken

I have no intention of screwing anyone over. I just want help as many people as possible, and take all the risk away from their purchase....

Thanks for the input. I just didn't know if the WF allowed over 100% money back guarantees...

Yea I'm okay with refunds. Plus, I worked INCREDIBLY hard on this product. I've written 30,000 words (and counting) about everything I know about online marketing...

Also, I'm considering this format for refunds:

    100% (no questions asked)
150% (with proof that at least one method was attempted)

    Any input?

What is the pricing of your offer?

    What are you promoting?

You need to think somethings through before making this type of guarantee. Although you may not be screwing people over, in the end you may be screwing yourself. Consider somethings first before making this type of guarantee in anything.

Personally I would not invite people to refund, it can turn around and bite you n the butt
If they ask for a refund sure, but trying to use 100 percent money back to get extra sales, well I will listen to others pipe in

I had a company in the 90s a hair loss products company i offered that
I ended up having to close down, course I had expenses physical product to bye
    then shipping costs etc,
    which I had to refund

I got a bad taste in my mouth concerning refunds with that experience

WSOs are different in that you do not incur physical costs Like I did
    also
less than about 20 dollars people will not usually bother to refund

also your 150 percent money back to me sounds odd, as a buyer that would make me think something is wrong, no legit company offers that
makes me think you might be flybynight take the money and run

remember a refund guarantee is only worth as much as the reputation of the company
if the company is not trustworthy, their refund guarantee is just hot air you will never see the money

also 150 percent encourages people to buy it just to use it and MAKE money on the purchase,

i dont like that idea at all

I agree with outwest.. While you want to make sure that buyers are not disappointed with the product, you should not encourage people to ask for refunds. And frankly offering 150% refund with proof that buyer took action can lead to disputes and wastage of time.

So my advice would be to keep it simple, offer a no questions asked 100% refund guarantee for a specific period (15/30 days)

Some marketers, copywriters especially, employ "double your money back" guarantee in their copy. They know people rarely come back and ask them for 200% refund for their purchase - you might want to use that instead.

I haven't seen "105% refund" guarantee and that wouldn't make the offer more compelling to me than 100% normal guarantee.

I am not thinking so much about the money back guarantee while looking through WSO.

Many times even if I don't learn anything new, I won't ask for refund as long as I could tell the author put time into creating it and not just something they wrote on their way to work today in the morning.

Be careful with this advice. Depends on the value of the product you're offering. If its a high value item that does not live up to its promises - rest assured you will be inundated with refund requests ....

IMO - I find Guarantees of more than 100% a little "scammy" for my taste.

Why not just provide a 100% full refund for your product service if the customer is not satisfied ....??

Yea I've been working my butt off on this WSO, I want it to be an incredible value for anyone that buys. Right now it's 30,000 words with no fluff (60 pages single space, 12pt. font)...

5 years of obsession condensed down to an actionable report...

I'm going to use WSO Pro to sell it... 10 free review copies, the next 50 @ $7, the next 50 @ $9, etc. up to $17...

I'm not so sure that conditional 150% moneyback guarantees will work, especially at the low prices that WSOs typically sell for. You could get inundated with requests for such refunds, and if that occurs it'd be a complete nightmare to accurately verify each individual attempt to implement your method.

I would not advise it. There are a lot of desperate people here who need money now, and if they see a loophole, they will jump right through it for a little extra cash. Your refund rates will definitely be higher. Just make sure they're not so high as to bring you into the red. You might want to focus more of your time on creating a high converting sales page. That should offset the refund rate and render unnecessary the use of a 150% guarantee. Hope that advice helps.

I would never consider such in the WSO section. The serial refunders -- and there are many of them -- will eat you alive.

It is a nice method for the outside world, where people who take you up on that offer actually wanted your offer. But in the WSO section, you are inviting people to buy, with the promise of making a profit when they refund.

Yea, you are totally right. I've seen 3X money back guarantees on infomercials and such, but they make all their money on the upsells.

I'm sure there would be many people in the WF that would refund just to make a quick buck, not so much in the "outside world" as you mention.

      Thanks for your advice

Ain't that the truth, and I bet they'll have less than 20 posts, (all in the wso section) and they'll say something along the lines of " I am a newbie but I knew all this already"

I agree with most here, there are are serial refunders who would love to see you offer this guarantee. Avoid it would be my advice, you will get refunders at any case, no matter how good your product is.

I have seen someone else in here to a 120% money back guarentee. But might have been his first WSO and he didnt realise that no matter how good your WSO is, you are gunna get some refunds, so allow for that.

Why not just a 100% money back, no questions asked. nothing wrong with that.

Yea, I'll just go with the 100% money back guarantee. It's my first WSO and I want to make a "big splash" in the community - wanted to give back to everyone that's helped me over the years.

What happens if someone buys $1,000 worth of your product than claims a refund on it all claiming that they made an error at the checkout? You still going to give them the extra $50? I'd be seriously careful if I was you, scammers now are seriously intelligent people and will stiff you left right and center if a easy enough opportunity comes along.

Sure ... and you'll have hundreds of sales and hundreds of refund requests from all those who look at it as a money making opportunity.

I don't offer refund for digital products: you cannot "return" them as with the physical products.

It doesn't mean I never gave a refund if there was a legitimate reason for it... I just don't think it makes sense offering it in the digital online world.
