Reply to autoresponders?

Hi everyone, just a quickie, is it possible to reply to an autoresponder?

Can you embed an E-mail address in your autoresponders so that if there are replies, you have them in their own inbox dedicated to the autoresponders?

Thanks

Yes, it's possible. Make the "From" address a real one, and either have it go to its own inbox in Outlook or Thunderbird, or set up a filter. Be warned, though, you're setting yourself up for a ton of spam this way.

Thanks for the reply I'll use a fresh e-mail for it then, I can cope with wading through tonnes of spam, I just think it will pay to beale to converse with my list both ways

I have this facility enabled in my lists and people are quite shocked when I actually reply to their mails. Most send them without believing they will get through to me.

Many times people have commented that it's refreshing to know there is a real person at the end of what is obviously an e-mail from an autoresponder service

I can live with the small amount of spam it may produce for the extra connection I have with fellow marketers who have subscribed.

if you do this, you will be able to build better relationships and help people if they need it. Also you will strike up some great new friendships too.

That's awesome! This is exactly what I'm talking about. I want to build a relationship with my list, I want to help them if they need it, there's no harm in being friendly

      Thanks.

    Agree - definitely worth doing.

Apart from the replying side of things, there are some who don't understand how to unsubscribe and will reply to an email with the expectation that they'll get removed from your list.
