Using Music and Radio for Internet Marketing

Most of the best marketers are using audio in one form or another to market themselves, their products, their companies and so forth. I have heard podcasts, been invited to and attended online webcasts and seminars, listened to archived mp3s and just about everything else. One entity of my company, Media Venom, has recently begun making custom instore radio stations for small businesses and an arousing question has been proposed that I think the members of the warrior forum can help me with.

If you had a system that allowed you custom commercials, custom shows, station ids, bumpers and everything else in a radio station format recorded for you or using your own, with music from local and independent musicians in any genre, could you, as an internet marketer use that system to not only generate attraction to your business, but also use it as another revenue stream?

I would love to hear from anyone that is curious about this subject as I am in the process of researching how music can be used by any size business, both off line and on, to build their brand and establish authority.

I would also like to hear from any small business owner who is interested in being interviewed for our network of radio stations on the subject mentioned above.

Thank you Warriors for taking the time to read this and I look forward to your responses!

  • Don't they already have some revshare podcast networks?

    • Yes I believe they do but what I am referring to is an actual radio station format with the availability to do everything that a "terrestrial' radio station can do, like live shows, air custom commercials, that kind of thing.

  • Yes, the most effective methods of monetization would be building a subscriber base and/or viewership, selling the songs and albums, lyrics, ringtones, wallpapers and apps. As your viewership grows, your sales from these areas will become very profitable.

    • Yes, thanks to both of you as these are all possible methods as to how someone can run their own station. With the most expensive package being only $125 a month and that coming with more bells and whistles than hershey's has chocolate, this leaves ALOT of room for not only revenue, but also for the business owner to be creative and even have fun with it!
