How to Go About Getting in Touch With Another Blog for Guest Blogging

I don't want to live on my own site's little island anymore. I'm well aware of the numerous benefits of guest blogging, but I was unsure as to how to get started with it. Should I just locate the contact section of the blog and tell them I'd like to do a guest post? Should I give them the idea for the kind of post I want to write?

Or are there hopefully free services for connecting bloggers for this specific purpose?

You can find blogs in your niche and simply contact the owner. I never hurts to ask.

First make a relationship with the blogger by posting informative comments on his blog posts. Let them know that you know your stuffs!

After a few days contact the blogger and tell him that you would like to do a guest post on his blog, on the subject "-----", which is the hottest trend or serious problem now!

Also attach your articles with the email you send.(You don't want to miss a chance)

If he likes it, he will get in touch with you or publish it on his blog.

E-mail the blogger directly and make it difficult for them to say "no" . In other words - have an agenda. Make note of their writing style and how you can complement that nicely with your expertise.

Definitely include some samples of past work but, the more concise your proposal, the better your chances. Good luck!

RevenueGal is right... simply contacting a blog owner and offering to do a guest post can work wonders. After all, it's great for them, too, because they get a brief break from writing!

If I were you, I would pitch an idea for a guest post to the owner. You don't have to send the entire post right up front. In fact, if you do that, it may just look like you have postings "in the can" for whoever will post them. Instead, briefly explain to the blog owner how you can bring something of value in a guest post.

If you don't want to spend a ton of time searching for blogs in your niche, MyBlogGuest is an awesome resource. BloggerLinkUp is another great resource (I believe the owner, Cathy, is a fellow Warrior) Cathy is especially good at sending out emails, so that all of the latest opportunities get sent right to your inbox.
