Ok, I am in the IM niche and was just wondering, with so much competition these days, is there enough demand to go around? I am just curious...

You're going to fail. If you're afraid of failure then you do not belong in the Internet Marketing Business. Period.

Remember this: never reinvent the wheel ... internet marketing niche will never die out as long as there are new people starting business on the web ... everyone will have a share ... of fortune online ... it all lies in how far u are willing to go... and how well u can market into this niche ...

Of course. The reasons which drive people to IM will always exist, so there'll always be demand for IM. And new people jump into the IM pond every day.

If you can be fast enough to provide products which meet the immediate market needs (e.g. the latest: beating the Google Farmer update) then you'll always get your fair share.

Yes because existing marketers and new marketers would still buy products as long as they're indeed nifty and helpful?

Everything develops a natural equilibrium I believe. Those who fail adds to the success of others. But that's competition and capitalism for you, a competitive market like the internet will naturally weve out people who shouldn't be here.

I believe everything in life needs balance and chaos is the result of things not being balanced. You'll find if there's to much of anything, something WILL suffer.

I like this post, it is so correct.

      To the Op,

Well, at the end of the day, any competition out there is good, there is never too much competition. You just have to out perform others in the same niche market. Because, how many niches does IM split into? Loads, so there is plenty to go about.

Once you establish yourself as an expert to one part of IMing, then move onto the next. Do NOT spread yourself too wide, because it won't happen.

Competition is amazing because it drives quality up, and it gives people what they want. MySpace is going bust because Facebook offers so much more to everybody, and that's what people want. What people want is all that matters at the end of the day.

People don't care about you or your business they only care about what they want, and if you don't have it then it's tough luck. It's a selfish world and everybody is out for themselves. It's a dog eat dog enviroment, everybody is out to empty your pocket and fill their own.

Greed drives everything in life, like Gordon Gekko once said a greed for money a greed for love a greed for food a greed for life a greed for happiness, freedom you name it.

Depends on what you've got to offer.

If you're looking at general IM, what does that mean?

However, if you break it down into individual IM niches, then you can get a better look at how much opportunity there is in each one. I think you have to look beyond the simple "I'll help teach you to make money online" thing.

Though I think you're asking the wrong question, the answer is "yes." Over the years I've learned that very few markets are truly saturated or too competitive because if you have the marketing fundamentals down pat, you can compete anywhere.

All you have to do is do it better than your competition and you'll do just fine. You can differentiate by having a better product / service, having better customer service, a better sales funnel, better marketing, better market research, expertise in something very specific, etc.

There's always going to be room for one more in the IM niche, you just have to bring value and know how to put it in front of the eyeballs that are looking for it.

    Hey fated82,

The IM (and other) mentoring niche is super attractive, and the reason for it is because you're eliminating a time consuming learning curve, and putting people on the fast track to success and income. People will pay almost any price to learn something quick and avoid stumbling blocks that would otherwise take them months and years to learn on their own.

Are you kickin in the IM niche or are you just thinking about coming in?

    Take care fated82,

    Bobby Freiler

I think there is enough demand.

But is there enough originality? That is, are there enough people to create fresh and unique products to sell within the IM niche?

There is going to be more than enough demand that's also consistent. This is an evergreen niche, but as with any other business you'll have to find a way of differentiating yourself, and not just be another copycat marketer who does not have any originality or unique selling proposition.

There is something like 2 billion people I've read online at any given moment. I would imagine much more. the IM niche is basically helping new or struggling marketers to tackle obstacles, conquer issues they face in various stages of building an online presence, helping to advertise/promote, etc.

Essentially, if you can provide a better solution to a problem that a new or struggling internet marketer faces that is ideally provided at a cheaper price than your competitor then you can beat the competition.

Give more value and you'll receive more value. Simple as that...
