FREE WSOs a Good Idea?

Hi Warriors

I've been seeing loads of free WSOs appear on the forum and it makes me wonder if they actually work. After all, the whole idea behind putting a free WSO together is to build a list and build credibility right? I wonder if this actually works and would love to hear back from anyone who has had great success with this.

I've also seen quite a lot of free WSOs receive little feedback, is this because the products have been poor or because a free WSO has less perceived value?

Is it a good idea to build a big list using quality free WSOs?

    Well, the answer to the bolded is almost unquestionably, "yes."

    But therein lies the rub.

    A great product, offered free, will generate plenty of happy list dwellers, some percentage of them almost certain to be eager follow-uppers.

    A great back-end, delivered in a timely manner, then becomes practically a license to print money.

    But it's no simple matter to create one great product...much less two.

    The free WSO, like everything else in business, is what you make of it. Attract people with good copy, blow them away with good value, and delight them with top-notch support, and you'll create all the buzz and more you could ever desire.

    Fail at that, and you might as well take out a couple twenties and set them on fire.

    Not on this forum for a long time (not at all), but I came here because of the Free WSOs I could make later on... It's a great way to build your list and to promote your product!

    The biggest question I would have is "will a list full of freebie seekers convert in sufficient numbers to justify running the WSO?"

      There is no right or wrong way to answer this.

      It depends on what you want to do with that list, nurture it and build a relationship or whore it out to do ad swaps.

      If it's building your own list to sell your own products then don't do a free offer, by all means do a low cost offer but you don't want a list of freebie seekers.

      If you don't really care about your list then a free wso will be ok as you can then do ad swaps with other people with lists of freebie seekers.

      I am sure you can guess which way i prefer to do things!

        I totally agree with you, I feel as if a list built up with free WSOs would be unresponsive perhaps even if you gave them tons of value compared to a list you built with a low price but high quality product.
