.ws domain?

Before I purchase this domain I just had to ask this, I'm looking to buy a keyword that has a lot of searches monthly, the only thing available is .ws and .co.uk

On the second page of google there is keyword.info and only has 5 backlinks..should I take the risk and do it?

    The domain extension is said by some to have no effect on search ranking, it happens that .com site usually dominate page one because their owners invest more in their development due to being recognized to have the best reputation and resale value and.

    Take care not to bite off a term with too high a search volume, they will tend to have entrenched competing sites with tons of content and backlinks. Smaller operators are better off selecting a nich keyword with perhaps a few thousand searches that doesn't require massive backlinks to get to page one.

    Aren't .ws sold by that scammy looking MLM setup GDI?, for whatever reason you don't see highly ranked .ws sites very often.

      Hrm, weird because datingtips.ws is rank 2-3 on google for "dating tips for guys" and I believe that is a highly competitive niche, but what do I know?
