Making money being a publisher

This is not quite as easy as you listed it. I have learned that IM, while not hard, has a HUGE learning curve, no matter how easy some people say it is. Of course, some things have a steeper learning curve than others.

As the other poster said, it seems that you model is predicated on a lot of hiring. I don't know how much research you've done on this model or what your budget is, but I read somewhere (can't remember where) that one of the quickest ways to make a business more profitable (or profitable in the first place) is to reduce overhead. That includes employee expenses. (And this applies to independent contractors as well.) I think this little bit of common sense is way too often overlooked.

Before you go hiring other people to write content, why don't you set up a blog and write your own content for a while? See how you can monetize it. Once you get a feel for it, you will have a much better idea 1) if hiring writers and advertising managers is a good idea in the first place and 2) of who to hire, what to look for and what to expect.

And the CPA networks have TONS of advertisers looking for affiliates to promote their products. No advertising manager needed.

I haven't joined myself, so I can't give a recommendation from experience, but she has a good reputation here and others have reported being very satisfied with their membership in her site.

Ok, so I should have been more clear. This is what I have been doing for a while now and it has been fairly succesfull.

Additional notes:

1. setting up a company
2. setting up several great looking sites/blogs

I set up wordpress sites (since it is the best cheap CMS) on domains and hosting by godaddy, very cheap and highly customizable. Also, great seo posibilties, with global translator plugin I get huge amounts of natural traffic. I do hire people to make me a custom Theme since this is a great investment. I have personally seen pageviews double with the only difference being a nicer looking theme. I would reccomend going to the different free WP theme sites, looking what you like and having someone combinging those ( I found someone on digital point)

3. hiring good writers

I hire writers on digital point, while the quality is usually very low there are few good writers there. I pay per word/article usually no more than 1.5 cent per word.

4. hiring people to do seo/promotion

Hiring people on different fora to do submissions to directories, buying links, submitting articles I dont use to article databases

5. buying bulk traffic

Megatraffix.com is good, cheap traffic to complement other traffic to make CPM advertisers happy

6. hiring an advertising manager

&

7. selling adspace directly to companies on a CPM basis


Hired on on elance.com. This person will write to prospects and do administration, put in campaigns in a free adserver I use (openx.com) and do general customer contact.

8. sit back and collect the money

Paypal and direct invoices.

9. hiring someone to do administration/accounting

Elance! dont save on this, I pay 30 USD an hour for someone good.

I spend an average of 8 hours a week on this and all I do is write emails telling people what to do.

yeah this is a good plan but ...yeah, outsourceing is a good thing but on the first stage not many Internet marketers will be able to afforde so much of outsourceing.

It's a good business model for intermediate/advanced webmasters though
