Little Dilemma ... Release ebook with videos or not ?!?

I have a little dilemma on my hand. I'm about to finish my ebook (in 10 days approx.) but I don't know if should release it alone or create a video training course with it.

I have this idea of releasing the ebook and turning it into a publishing material (real book) to create myself as an "authority" in the niche before releasing video material.

What do you think ?

I would say release with video - that is my personal thoughts anyway.

I find in MOST of my niches video improves the product and the conversion rates as well.

Also you can use parts of the video you create as a "sneak peek" and put it on the sales page.

I would use videos - you can still do the real book idea in conjunction.

If you are not sure how to get the videos done check out the Warriors For Hire and search for video creation there should be some talented Warriors there that can help.

    Or check out Elance.com.

    Hope this helps,

    Chris

Release the ebook with a video upsell. Have a preface on your printed book directing buyers to a video upsell page on your website.

I agree with the 2 previous posters....you can create a video training with the ebook or you can create it as an upsell....the key here is that everyone likes to learn in different settings...some people like to learn in a class room setting (video training) by giving the option of a video as well...you'll appeal to more people and your sales will def go up.

I say release it with the video. Overdeliver and build customers for life. That's the best way to build a reputation.

Most do prefer a video course to accompany an ebook, I also like to get an audio version of the ebook/report i create if its in excess of 80 pages.

      I say JUST RELEASE IT!!!

I'm kidding, but I also am not. I just said that because the most important thing is to get your product in front of your audience. I think the video would be great as part of a squeeze page, the course itself or an even an upsell. If you have time to get it in by launch then that would be awesome. If not, how about releasing the ebook anyway and then surprising the then customers with the video addition once it's done? At that point you could then make it a part of the product for the new purchasers going forward? Just some ideas...

Listen to someone who makes a lot of money from a sales funnel. (Me and many others)

I've posted this many tmes in here.

    1. Ebook at the front end for $17 - $27.
    2. Video Upsell - $47 - 67
    3. If they don't upsell = audio downsell.
    4. Be sure to capture emails in a buyers list.

This is the secret to multiplying your income. Since they already purchased from you they are more likely to take your upsell.

This is not theory. I do it and all the successful marketers do the same.

Yes, this model makes sense ... its a win - win situation.

Converting ebook at higher closing % rate due to low price ($17 to $27) and then up-selling video at higher rate (converting approx. 20%+ of original interested buyers). Also, email captured for future up-sells !!!
