What small IM tasks you want automated for you?

Hey warriors - I am considering making a tool to share with the IM community (maybe via a $7 WSO, maybe just for free, I'm not sure yet). I am a programmer, and love making little tools to automate stuff - but I'm not sure what to make!

A couple of things I was considering:

1. A tool which tells you what page of Google you're on - even if you're ranked #1000. Most tools only tell you up to spot #100.

2. A tool which gives you a list of high PR blogs in your niche which allow dofollow comments.

What do you think? If you could have anything automated for you, what would it be?

I know this isn't one of the options, but I always thought if someone could figure out how to automate the insertion of autoresponder messages that would be an enormous help. . .

But both of the options you listed are good. Maybe offer one for free as a WSO and the other as an upsell to the freebie...

    Good Luck

Interesting.. could you expand on that? I assume you are referring to the insertion of autoresponder messages without using AWeber and similar services. I could definitely write a tool where you type what you want the auto response to say (including individualized links, where appropriate), and it generates PHP code for the autoresponder.. is that the kind of thing you were thinking?

I mean the whole editing, spacing, copying pasting, testing etc. Seems like it takes a long time to write the message in plain text, copy that to html, take out the paragraph breaks to fit html template, schedule it etc.

Probably not possible due to the various AR companies.

Competition means you can be successful. With just some twist, you can make a lot of money.

I would be interested in a tool that generates the backlink list of all top 10 ranking pages for a keyword and sort the backlinkslinks according to its type (content, profile) and page rank.

It will be a great time saver.

An automated tool that would reveal the age, sex and location of the OP?! How does that sound?

Tool #2 may not be available online, but it can be achieved using scraper devices such as:

    1. Scrapebox
    2. Xrumer
    3. UBot

I think the reason there is no online high pr blog service is due to the issue of proxy rotation. If even 100 users did extensive searches, especially for the auto-approve blogs, all the free proxies would be burned through in no time.

But its a good idea, that I'd look into programming....

Maybe each end use can be allowed to enter their own list of either free or paid proxies...

    What do you think?

I'd prefer a tool which gives you a list of high PR blogs in your niche which allow dofollow comments.

    Thanks,

Actually, I have already coded this one, and it works fine - no proxies necessary. The only problem is that some of the code utilizes a tool which isn't mine, and I don't yet have permission to use it in an automated fashion, so I'm currently waiting on permission from the owner. But other than that, it already works, so implementation details aren't much of an issue here

Good idea, I like this one! I'm writing it down.

A do follow blog finder is nice, but an AutoApprove Blog finder would be great If you make that, then I will buy it

I'm thinking of some special tool.
Here what this tool will do.
It kind of getting webmaster information from domain name.

The objective of this tool is :-
    1. Find a prospect who want to increase serp or traffic
    2. Find a JV partner especially a blogger in non IM niche

Here how it will work :
    1. We decide what keywords we want. The software will using that keyword
on domain name or title (got option to decide)
    2. We decide what its Alexa rank (range) of the domain name.
    3. The software will get the information of the webmaster from whois. (if you have better suggestion, please do, currently this I can think of)
    4. The software then will produce a complete report of Domain Name | Name of domain owner | Email

This can be done manually, where we use google to search any keyword we want, and then check the alexa rank of that website, so we can get a rough idea how well is the website, then we can whois to get domain owner's details.

But, it surely is troublesome for gathering 1000 pottential prospects/JV

Hope this can trigger more idea on software development.
If you choose my idea, I want a little credit...haha, Just kidding :p

I think both of them are really cool, the first one probably the coolest. It would be like you have a tracker on your stuff and you'll always know where it's at at any time, and that will be very helpful to locate and boost.

    Good stuff man.

      Hi, Mandark,

I've got a need for a program that may or may not be broadly marketable. If you might be interested, please email me, and I'll give you further details.

      Thanks.
