Josh - you might find Ed Dale's thirty day challenge helpful. It's free and he covers a lot of the basics very well.

Don't let this stop you. Remember the first is always the worst rule. Get something up and start improving on it.

I remember my very first landing page back in 1999 or so. It was on homestead free hosted site and it was horrible looking. I was promoting a $5 per lead product and didn't understand what html was. This made a nice passive income from this one page for months before learning some basic html and finally forcing myself to learn to edit page using a wysiwyg editor.

Just get started, You CAN do this!

Find a landing or sales page that you like. Use a ripping software to copy the entire site. Now you have a replica of that site. Change all the text and links in your html editor to make it original content and nothing like the original. Change the title, page description, and keywords to your own. The only left on the page that makes it not yours is the images. Your html editor should tell you the size of the images and with that you can make new images of the same size to take their place; avoiding any copyright laws. Enjoy your new custom template for CB products!

You can get a domain from namecheap and hosting at hostgator(the cheapest package they have will be fine, I think its $5 a month and that's all you will need) and get your domain online very quickly for less than 20 bucks.

Then learn to play with NVU @ nvu.com Its free

Or you can start a blog at wordpress.com You won't have full control but you can create content quickly and it's a good place to blog about your landing pages once you get them made and funnel traffic to them.

Pick a niche and start creating content and building a contact list of potential customers. Email them regularly and offer good info and a promotion link every other email that makes you money.

    Good Luck!

You do not need to know HTML to create a website. Alot of hosting places will usually have a WYSIWYG editor that you can use to create a pretty simple website. Or of course, you could use wordpress to start out with. Not alot of control like it was said, but its super easy to set up.

Then you need to make a post to the blog promoting that product(if you use wordpress that is). If you do not know what to write, then you need to learn sales copyingwriting. OR. There is this new service that I found out about, that could so something for you. its at Articlez.com. Its by the same people who do linkvana, but there is no membership fee, you just pay for the posts that you want written for you. It starts at about $2 for a 100 word blog post, up to $6 for a 350 word researched article.

Of course if you are short on the cash, just search sales copywriting here in the warrior forum, or use google. Tons of free info out there.

I can give you some basics if you want:

You need to relate to your readers, know the reason why they want and should buy this product. List the features of the product, BUT always list the benefits with them as well. Through out the whole read, you must keep your readers attention flowing so that when they come on that link to go to the merchants page, they will want to click on it, and buy.
I know its only some basic information, but that is where you start right?

    Hope this helps you out.

Yeah, for adwords you need your own website that you then put the affiliate offer on - redirects wont work.

A basic landing page should get the user to do one thing - sign up with their email for something free. Have everything focus on the sign up form.

When you have a domain there are 2 aspects you need to keep in mind:
      - who is your registrar
      - who is your host
Many hosts make it easy to register a domain when you buy their hosting package but the two aspects are not related at all! Which means you can move to another host but don't need to change your registrar.
At your registrar (the company that registered your domain) there must be an option to change/modify the Domain Name Servers (DNS).
When you get your new hosting package you will need to add your existing domain to that package AND modify the DNS info at your registrar. Your new hosting company should provide you with the necessary info regarding their DNS.

Kaden, you might consider domain forwarding, and use the product landing page. If you're unfamiliar with this, email me, I'll help.

    Best of luck.

    Hi Kaden,

Think that the landing page is a bit basic. If I was you I would create a simple site using Wordpress. Wordpress can be loaded up onto your server with one click if you have Linux Hosting, Cpanel and Fantastico. The site in my sig was created using a Wordpress theme. It took me about an hour to modify the layout using the Wordpress dashboard. I had never used Wordpress until last week and know virtually no HTML. Wordpress is also very search engine friendly - the site on my sig got indexed within 24 hours.

    Best of luck,

    Andy

      Josh,
To get your site up. You need to save your web design to somewhere on your computer - possibly by naming a new folder. Open your ftp program. Enter your unique hosting info. All files on your computer should be available in the left panel of the ftp program. You simply hit the transfer the files of your website onto your hosting account in the right panel.
If you want more detailed instructions just pm me and let me know which FTP software you have.

Hey. Well what ever you do make sure it's a simple landing page that makes them call to action. Also, make sure you are offering something of value once they opt in because this will increase your conversions.

Put a video up there to show who you are....this works wonders!

    Take care

    Omar!
