Where can I hire a researcher?

Other than maybe elance and fiverr, are there any other good sites where I can possibly hire a researcher?

Working on an eBook, and I'm almost done. I'm just left with some topics that need to be well researched beyond basic googling. I'd prefer to hire someone who is more experienced in digging up information and putting it all together, referencing, etc.

Any suggestions/ideas?

    You could try

    http://odesk.com

    and

    http://freelancer.com

I personally prefer freelancer, because the outsourcers (british spelling, I live in Antigua) don't specify and hourly rate. Be stringent with your bid terms and you can extract a ton of value.

30US goes a hell of a long way in Bangalore, you know what i mean?

    Cheers!

I suggest to you to go odesk and find a good researcher about your topic.

        Hi Skribblez,

Definitely odesk is great for hiring a whole range of people.

However, perhaps for a researcher I would be inclined to go with Craigslist - some amazing talent on there. That's where I would look.

        Goodluck with locating one.

  • I've tried most of the outsourcing sites, and I prefer oDesk.

One of the best places to look is the 'Wanted' forum right here - advertise the job and you're sure to find qualified Warriors ready and able to assist.

        Odesk - best for hourly
Vworker - for project based work
Craigslist - if you want to hire someone in the US, but you can't really post in multiple cities so best if you want someone locally

Fiver - haven't tried them much but I think maybe if you want something for $5!

I have great experience on Fiverr and elance.Especially on Fiverr if you spend 1-2 hours finding the best, you will get amazing results in the price of grabbing a coffee! That goes for Elance too.You may find amazing workers, loyal, working for 3-5$ per hour, doing an amazing job.

You can post an ad in Odesk for free. I trust Odesk better than other freelance sites. You can even monitor your freelancer while he/she works because they have an application that captures the screen of the contractor.

I needed some specific research that involved alot of traveling, so i contacted these individuals, GlobalResearchers.Org
They are low key and produced outstanding results. I know they handle smaller tasks as well, im not sure what you are looking for. I'd recomend contacting them and see what they say.

Skribblez -- I'm a professional researcher. I don't do IM topics though. If your topic is something that interests me, I'll research it. PM me your price and needs if you are interested.

You could check freelancer.com, odesk.com and onlinejobs.ph. These sites offer services from article writer, researcher to video making and back linking, and more. Check these sites out and search that "gem" employee that you are looking for. Odesk, I think is the good site to start with, since they have hundreds of thousands that offer their services to clients from all over the world. And they have a good time tracking system. You may also want to post at Odesk, the job description that you are looking for and, I would say, your post will be swarmed with numbers of applicants.

I had great luck with Odesk... but I don't think the site is as important as the ad you place and your explanation of the job.

There's lots of competent, it's just a matter if you can explain the job well enough... That's my experience anyways.
