Digiresults only for the IM niche?

Hello fellow warriors,

I am starting to sell my own digital products though I have one question...

Is Digiresults only for people selling im related products? If so are there any other sites out there besides clickbank that I can set up? I know there is paydotcom but have not looked into it much as of yet.

Thanks for your help.

I imagine it will work well for any niche.

DigiResults is still a fairly new program. It was built by IMers for IMers, but I do not see any reason why it would not work outside of the IM niche.

DigiResults is definitely not just for IM products.

It all depends what you want to do with your product and how you intend to promote it.
If you want to get affiliates to promote your product then the logical choice would be to go through ClickBank because every affiliate is familiar with it and most will refuse to register for some site they've never heard just so that they can promote your product.

If you don't want affiliates then why not get payments through PayPal directly?
I think that's the easiest way of receiving payments.

Wrong...good affiliates won't have a problem with this at all. Just like your traffic, the total number doesn't matter. It's all about the quality.

1 good affiliate is worth 1000 affiliates that won't take the time to sign up for my affiliate program. If they can't do that, I doubt they would do much effective promoting.

      DOWN WITH CLICKBANK!!! :p

Well, when it comes to affiliates and when you're just starting out you don't really get to choose the affiliates who'll promote you. You have to be satisfied with what you get. Chances are good affiliates with bigger lists won't be interested in promoting your product.

I don't like ClickBank either, but I can say from personal experience that most affiliates I've asked to promote my products through 2CO have refused and said they'll only do it if I set it up through ClickBank.

But we might be going off topic here as Jay didn't even mention affiliates.

You can sell a product in any niche on our marketplace. We'll break it out into categories at some point in the next few months. The only reason we've not done it already was to avoid having a few dozen categories with 1 product in each

Affiliates will happily use any reliable network. What they won't go for is a home grown affiliate program where they are constantly reliant on the vendor to pay up on time.

Anyone who has been in the biz a while has a story to tell of a vendor they worked with/promoted who one day just stopped paying. Or a story about how they sent a load of traffic to an offer, made a load of sales and then never got paid.

The guarantee of getting paid is as much what you're paying for with a network as the exposure.

          Cheers,

          Andy

I've got to agree 100% with that. They like clickbank because they know they are going to get paid! It's safer for the affiliate, or so they think, but the ability to get refunds from clickbank, or have people just clear the cookies and buy through their own link is crazy.

Other than that, Clickbank in my opinion sucks! Just my opinion though. As long as they are comfortable that they are going to get paid, they'll sign up.

I think digiresults is brilliant - you can be paid by paypal and offer 100% commissions. A lot better than the big cb! Can't see why you couldn't sell non IM using it, I am planning to offer a non IM service via digiresults

Yes and I didn't mentioned this before (as I was on iPhone and it's a pain to type!) but being in the UK, Clickbank is very expensive because whether you choose direct payment or cheque your bank hits you with both an extortionate fee and a horrible FX rate. To minimize these fees you have to hoard up 6 months worth of earnings at a time. Very poor for cash-flow.

I think Clickbank is the dinosaur and services like Digiresults, e-Junkie etc. or self-service solutions e.g. DLGuard are going to be the way forward.

As for "would person X trust Digiresults" well the thing that Digiresults, DLGuard etc have in common is they do their stuff then redirect to paypal. So the customer just sees "Please wait..." then Paypal. If they trust the seller and Paypal (most would) then they will have no problem to buy.

DigiResults is excellent, and will work perfectly outside the IM niche.

The reality is that simply putting an offer on Clickbank isn't going to get you 100s of super affiliates, you need to recruit them, and it isn't that hard.

Getting affiliates is like getting customers, except you sell them on benefits of promoting you.

With digiresults, they get instant payment via paypal and the option of 100% commission, and even life time commissions.

These are huge perks, I personally love promoting things from Digiresults for these reasons and many affiliates do too.

    Everyone loves instant gratification!

Take these benefits to affiliates and you can easily show people why they should promote you, in addition to your product of course.

You can create an affiliate proposition with Digiresults that is far superior to what clickbank can offer, just be proactive about it and stress the technical superiority and how it will help the affiliate make more sooner, and keep making it with the lifetime commissions

I don't think they have a help section yet. Just contact them at: support@digiresults.com

I actually didn't need much help setting up a product there because the process was so easy and user friendly. I only had a couple questions and someone from their support desk got back to me rather quickly.

100% commission means that the affiliate gets the entire amount of the sale (minus fees). So, you can see why this would be an enticing offer for most affiliates.

          Hi Christophe

Thanks for the reply...I've sent an email to support.

I get why the 100% is a big advantage to get affiliates to promote a product but what's the advantage to the vendor?

          Many thanks

That's correct. We handle all support via email. Once you email in though it's managed by Kayako help desk so you can log in to view your ticket etc.

100% commission product are a lead generation tool.

Let's say your business sells Widgets for $100 each.

You could write a report "Why Widgets Work", sell it for $20 and offer affiliate 100% commission for promoting it.

Then Every customer of "Why Widgets Work" goes on an autoresponder sequence to persuading them to buy their Widgets from you.

            Cheers,

            Andy

You need another product to promote, but it doesn't have to be yours. You might make a 100% commission report about an affiliate product you sell for commission yourself. Lots of people do this with ClickBank products; low-price report with 100% commission, you get the people on your list and send emails to promote a related CB product.

Not at all. The autoresponder can promote anything you like.

Instead of selling the customers Widgets you could affiliate refer them to a company who does as well as affiliate referring them to all kinds of other Widget related stuff.

Please do. I try to limit DigiResults support on this forum to more general marketing concepts and let the support desk handle the specifics.

It's not really fair on Allen for me to use it as a public support forum
