Recessionary effects?

I've been doing this since 2004 and this month, december 2008, is my best month EVER,

cyber monday was INSANE!

I have felt a bit of cold, but nothing major as such. People are a bit apprehensive to spend the extra $$ nowadays...thats it. Projects are work seems to be coming in constantly and I dont see a downslide there as such. Although, people in US and small enterprises are pretty apprehensive about making new commitments etc.
Although, I havent been working with one, I guess the start ups dependent on angel funding would be hit since the investors would be finicky...

Sales of my $1800 health product have slowed noticably.

My housing-related businesses have screeched to a halt.

My gambling-related businesses go merrily on, in fact booking some of my best months lately. They say this is a recession-proof industry.

It all depends on the niche. I imagine the biz-opp leads are doing pretty good these days.

Right now I am working on a new ebook, it maybe be a while before I release it. But I took a break the last 6 months of to relax after 9 years of selling like crazy online. But I do want to get back into the swing of things again.
I will say this about the recession a group of millionares here I know got together, they are from the oil industries and large commercial store and mall owners , they seem to believe we can not recover here in the USA before a great depression hits, and the likes this country has never seen before, they say they talk across the country with other top business men and about 90% agree, it's going to get very bad.
I really don't want to get into this , but I will say this, that a small snow ball has turned into a monster avalanche and it's coming right for us.
The question they have for each other is this, can we make it?
They seem to think, it's impossible to avoid even with gas prices dropping.
I for one sure hope they are wrong, but I have a feeling they are right, it makes me sick to think that way, but I have been thinking this now for the past 2 years to myself, when I heard them talking about this I was shocked because they guys are the most positive bussiness men I know.
I just hope we can turn this around, it's not just a USA problem, it's become world wide and people are hurting. And unemployment is much higher than the feds report. And people know it.

Anyways I am looking forward to selling again online, and I amvery aware what styles sold a year ago, won't sell well now.
But I have a new Plan......so good luck people...god bless
