Hi All,

I was wondering you fellow IM's can shed some light. I confused as to what kind of things I should be pursuing in IM. I have a blog, which is in the seduction niche, its been up and running for about two months now. I haven't made a sale on this yet.

I am on Fiverr and have completed 4-5 gigs and that should get paid in the next week or so ( awaiting clearing).

But I really want to make a LARGE amount of money. am I talking about the large amounts of money floated about here on WF. I can't even make $5 per day let alone $100.

Sounds like you're bouncing around a bit. What is your real passion. What do you find interesting. Finding the right niche is much of the battle.

After you identify that you can find the means to drive traffic to it which will translate to revenue.

The key is in your market research. Have you done any market research. What is your markets "pains"?

I think there's a lot to think about here. Does your market justify that kind of income? Does your blog sell your service enough? Is your messaging clear enough? Is your blog design conducive to a service you'd trust? Does it feel like a place you'd go for relationship advice?

I think all of those questions need a look at, because I don't think any of the answers are a perfect yes.

But a quick tip - your blog post pages are where quite a lot of your traffic will go, not your home page, as that's where the fresh and keyword rich content will be. So you need to point to your product from those pages as much as you do from your home page. Right now if I land on the latest blog post, I've got no idea you're selling anything.

My initial focus is on lead generation. My list contains 15 people.

I have a few affiliate links in posts, I don't want to 'over-sell'.

I also have an affiliate link to the forums as well.

Overselling is always better than underselling.

At least if you disappoint you can make it right, which is better than having nobody be interested in the first place.

I have tried article marketing. No luck.

I can provide you with a screenshot of Articlebase, showing over 100 articles and over 1000 views. No Sale though.

"Selling" your article isn't necessarily what you're after. You want to build traffic from your articles. You don't need to sell them to do that. PM me if you'd like and I can give you some more direct pointers. I don't want to self promote on the forum.

You should walk before trying to run. Believe me, some people are struggling to even make those Fiverr $4 gross.

    The word is escalate.

You could build a website for the service you're offering at Fiverr (but with bigger prices, and also a bigger, better service than your Fiverr gig), get your Fiverr costumers to know the site and use their Fiverr experience as testimonials...

I don't know, just an idea.

I could start a free Blog on Blogger to get started.

      Not a bad idea.

But still traffic is going to be a problem, naturally.

The biggest reason traffic and sales are such a problem for you is because you have nothing to offer. Your blog is just another blog in the seduction niche, nothing special about it.

You need to create something of value that other people in your niche want. Without giving value then you won't get anything in return. Start thinking about how you can help others in your niche via information.

Do that and you might start seeing different results.

At this point, building a proper foundation is the most important thing. You have definitely come to the right place to learn, but from my experience you want to avoid thinking about how much money you want to make.

Instead, try to think about what value you can contribute to others in the niche you want to target and the money always follows.

Only try to promote things you have used yourself and avoid promoting things you have no idea about. You may see something that offers high commissions but if you haven't been successful yourself with it, chances are not many others will be and you will soon lose trust from your list and subscribers...which means NO MONEY.

I know it may sound cliche, but again: Money Follows Value.

What can you provide to others that has helped you?

Who is your target? What is there demographics? What do they read? What does your customer have the most problem with? Does your product solve that problem? What do they want to learn, fix, help with, issue with, and etc .....

You will not make very much revenue at all until you can answer these questions and apply them in a marketing funnel.

From what I've been finding out from successful marketer's no matter what niche is to focus most ALL your efforts on driving traffic with the intention of getting people to opt-in and build your list. Build your list and you can have traffic that you can use over and over again. Why sell to one person just one time when you can have a list of loyal potential customers forever. Search "list building", it'll be worth your time.
