Hi all. I have read that the Canadian Government is going to be making ebay report the sales of powersellers and they are going to make paypal report to them earnings too.

I was wondering....I am affilliate marketing...being paid through another payment site. Do any of you claim your online earnings? I mean if I start making huge money how would I even hide it?? The banks here are allowed to report suspicous stuff like sudden increases of giant amounts to the government.

Just curious what everyone's take on this subject is! Any opinion is appreciated!

You are required by law to claim all your earnings.

Why are you hiding money??? Or asking here how to hide your money?

Pay your taxes or get out of Canada.

Ebay actually already gave up the records to Rev Canada so if you were a Powerseller during a specific time they already have the info the need. Everyone who was a powerseller during the years they wanted got a message inside their eBay Accounts.

Rev Canada has also been testing a spider that crawls the web looking for Canadian Tax cheats in Ecommerce, Porn etc.

My opinion is pay your taxes.

Report everything!

I was just audited by Rev Canada and they have access to everything. Your bank accounts etc. They can see every deposit and withdrawal you have made and it is up to you then to prove where it came from.

OK...I AM gonna claim it all.....seriously. What kind of income is it though? Under what would I file it? I appreciate ALL opinions and my question was kinda misleading. I agree we all should pay our taxes on any income.....I should have asked HOW/WHAT is it claimed as when we file our taxes!

Please don't read too much into my original post I didn't wanna start something nasty here! I just got here!

I never heard that the government of Canada is going to be making EBAY report the sales of powersellers and make paypal report to them earnings too.

I always take what I spent and what I earned and report it to my accountant.

My advice is to be honest and report everything.
