Why internet marketing is the ideal market for internet marketers

Sounds counter intuitive right? Why would internet marketing be the perfect market for internet marketers? Shouldn't the internet marketing crowd be resistant to the various methods of internet marketers?

Apparently not, and for the following reasons:

Internet marketers use social media like crazy. They are always part of the next up and coming social media experiment. For this reason, you can easily use social media to find internet marketers to sell your products to.

Internet marketers are not afraid to sign up. Have an email autoresponder and sign up tool? Great! Simply add some information which an internet marketer might be interested in and you will have a list rather quickly.

Internet marketers are hungry for more, much more. Especially with regards to free content, which could be used to grow your list, internet marketers absolutely love content in very large amounts. Having pay walls set up will never be enough to keep this group of savy entrepeneurs out.

Internet marketers usually make money, so they don't mind spending it to make more. This is huge in internet marketing of any product, that you target an audience who will not only want to buy your services but also be able to justify buying them. An internet marketer who wants to learn more about building communities and marketing them will buy my book because they view it as an investment. Of the three things people buy online (entertainment, systems integration and problem solving), problem solving makes the most money and internet marketing is full of many problems.

Do you sell to internet marketers with products and tactics which are used in more common markets such as the weight loss niche?

Interesting. I have been marketing mainly to people who are not involved in an online business yet, but have recently been thinking of doing some things for other internet marketers and mainly for some of the reasons you gave. Mainly, because other internet marketers are used to spending money and are willing to. They realize that you will need to spend money on products to help you continue to grow and learn.

When marketing to others, you first have to get through that wall (of not wanting to spend any money.)

Great pointers and I agree 110% but if your a beginner and just entering this niche it is very competitive also.... Very profitable, but competitive you better know what your doing.... Everything boils down to targeted traffic, and building a list.... If you can manage to do both the money will come rolling in ......

Warning to newbies get your feet wet before entering the shark tank (the internet marketing niche) if you don't you could get gobbled up!

If you can get your blog posts on the first pages of Google for some good keyword terms you are off to a good start with your blog. Add lots of unique content, and start building those backlinks for starters.

IMers are a great group to market TO - talk about hopeful and desperate buyers!

It's possibly the worst niche to start in if you are new to selling or to IM yourself.

Dear April: I don't want any trouble from you.
January was long, February was iffy, March was a freaking dumpster fire.
So sit down, be quiet, and don't touch anything.

It's the same as every other niche, I think. Solve a real problem, and get that solution in front of as many people who have the problem as you can.

There's no doubt it's a huge and hungry market, but as Kay says, not an easy one for a beginner to crack (unless they have a really good 'done for you' system to help them out).

I agree that IM is a huge and hungry market, but there are also large and far more lucrative non-IM markets where people are starving for solutions.

Not so much ... psychologists worldwide have been demonstrating pretty repeatedly for nearly a century now that salespeople tend to be among the easiest to sell to, in society.

However, it's just about the worst possible niche for newbies to get involved with, for a whole bunch of different reasons (some mentioned above).
