PLR - Is This Okay?

Hi Warriors,

Another quick question! Is it okay to use PLR articles the way you receive them?

For instance, would it be okay to use an unedited PLR article as blog content or as part of my autoresponder sequence? I do agree that if I'm using them to submit to article directories I should spin them or even just take the general idea from it and rewrite myself.

I know by doing this I'd be sacrificing unique content for quick content, but does that really make all of the difference if I'm using it as an email message or blog entry for instance?

How do the Warriors use their PLR stuff?

    IMHO using it unedited as your auto responder sequence would be fine. It is ok to publish on your blog unedited too if you want to. If I was going to publish a plr article online I would probably spin it though.

    I use PLR articles to help build backlinks with article directories and web 2.0 properties. I also sometimes chop them up and spin them, combine them, spin them, and publish. It's up to you how you choose to use the plr content.

      That's sound. I was hoping I could use them like that, mainly for my auto responder sequence.

    I agree that it's perfectly fine to use PLR "as-is" on your blog, autoresponder series etc. Obviously for the latter there's not even an issue of unique content, the main issue is really just in making sure your subscribers will still connect to you. Personally I'd add a few sentences in my own voice just to connect with them better.

    As for blog content, I would mix and match. Use some as is and then add some of your own content too. The latter may not even be necessary depending on the type and site and whether you build backlinks well enough.

    I really like the idea above about chopping them up and combining them. I think PLR works best when you have multiple ways to use it like that.

      I think using them in an autoresponder is the best way to use PLR "as-is". For blog content, you're missing some golden opportunities not to change them a little and keyword optimize them for the keywords you're focusing on.

      I don't believe you should use PLR to submit to article directories. This is usually prohibited by most sites who offer PLR. But, why not combine quite a few plr articles to create some viral reports or ebooks and submit them to some free ebook directories?

        If you submit PLR articles 'as is' to article directories like ezine, you will most likely get rejected because they have human editors who make sure that the content is not a duplicate of existing content online.

        The way I view PLR articles is as a starting point for your own articles, blog posts, products etc. The beauty is that the research is already done for you - which often is the time consuming part - the writing itself should not take long if you've done the research properly - so what you need to do is to take the same information, but repackage and repurpose and add your own touch to make it your own.

        That viral report idea sounds like a great idea, I think I'll get to work on that soon!

      Sweet, I like that. Just adding a few lines to personalize them.

    In an autoresponder series they would be fine as is. I agree with Ruth about the blog posting - perhaps mix and match - rewrite some and use some as is!

    Hello, I would say as an email message- no need to change it. As a blog post - you might want to change it. It is very easy to change plr - people make it harder than it is.

    For example:

    PLR says: Over 30 Million teenagers suffer from acne

    So you change it to:

    Did you know that over 30 million teenagers have problems with acne?

    It now is more unique! Hope that helps!
