Aweber List Management

I am getting ready to release my first free product in hopes of building up a list of future customers.

I have a site that has several different areas (i.e. health, education, money).

My free product is in the money category and I am setting up an Aweber form that a visitor must fill out and confirm prior to downloading the free product.

Here is my question. The free product is under the "money" category. Do you recommend I create separate lists in Aweber based on what category of product I am giving away? Or should there be one main list for my site with all categories lumped together and then segmented down the road?

I had planned on one main list but as I was setting up my confirmation email last night and I wanted to put in "thanks for requesting product x, please confirm...". That's when it hit me that maybe I should be using a separate lists based on the category I am targeting.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Eric

You should definetly have separate lists being that health, education, and money are all different topics. If you start sending the health or education subscribers make money emails, you'll probably get lots of unsubscribes and flame responses.

Rule #1 is: Send your subscribers what they signed up for.

Thanks Ron, that's what I was thinking, it just took a while to hit me. I was seeing my list as one list for my whole site, but as I was setting up my product it didn't seem to make much sense.
