I recently started promoting a couple offers on Clickbank-I'm not sure if I'm allowed to say the exact ones so for now I'll say a dating guide and a job offer site. Yesterday, for the dating guide I generated 56 hits in decently targeted traffic (1 order form impression), 65 hits for the job offer site (3 order form impression). 0 sales. I'm just wondering what your experience is with Clickbank conversions and if we are allowed to talk about what our highest converting programs are. I don't want to send hundreds in traffic to these offers if they are not going to generate a single sale. How many hits do you find it takes to get a sale on products like these?

Thanks.

  • I focus mainly on Amazon, but I've heard 1% is decent with Clickbank.

In my experience of IM it all comes down to how targeted the traffic is.
If someone types a search phrase and your site pops up number 1 offering them what they are looking for, sooner or later you are going to make some sales. How targeted is your traffic? Where is it coming from?

Feed the hungry crowd and they will pay you for it.

    Hey flyer,

Are you sending cold PPC traffic, or are you pre-selling? If you're just sending ice-cold pay-per-click, it could take 200 hits or more to make a sale. Not recommended, in my opinion.

Conversion rates are based on a lot of variables, not just if the product is on Clickbank or Amazon.

1% was the basic standard however this is really based on a lot of factors.

If a person looks for Iowa divorce lawyer and you have the #1 site whether its by PPC or SEO and have a solid lead generation form, then conversions would be through the roof.

      Conversions depend on:

      - entering keyword, keyword phrase
      - offer to the browser
      - sales copy

Once these are in conjunction then you are good to go.

You say "decently" targeted traffic, so in my eyes that might be your problem. Qualify the traffic even more, filter them, then you can increase your conversion rates. Otherwise you'll just have to send more traffic.

The other posters in this thread have already given you some more hints, maybe you can also give us some more information so that we can help you more. Where do your visitors come from, what forms of advertising do you use?
