Ezine articles - Are they up to their reputation?

Hello, I'm Jag and a comparative newby at article marketing hence the call for help. I have written 10 articles for my website and have, on advice, submitted them to Ezine articles first before submitting them anywhere else. That was 12 days ago and I am still waiting for approval. Meanwhile I am reluctant to submit them to any other directories as they may be rejected by Ezine as duplicated; making me 12 days plus late in my campagn.
What, if anything, should I be doing? Or do I sit tight? Thanks for reading.

    1. You don't have to wait before submitting your content elsewhere. Ezine (EZA) only requires that you are the original author of said content. EZA makes no demands that it be exclusive to their domain only, you can syndicate it to many directories verbatim while waiting for their approval. Anyone telling you otherwise is either a potential crack addict, intellectually challenged, or has not been given proper advice themselves and subsequently figured they would "share".
    2. Please search the forum for a more detailed answer, because there is at least 465,677 threads (in other words, quite a few) on the go at the moment regarding EZA. Pretty much everything to do with their policies, strategies, and potential worth to you as a writer is being discussed within those threads, by the folks around these parts who know what's up.

I am a platinum author for EZA and have around 170 live articles with them. Yes you can submit your articles elsewhere however, make sure that the directory has a very high PR with Google. EZA has held a very high PR with Google for years due to the size and very large amounts of content along with adsense. However, they have recently been slapped by the big G causing a drop in organic listings.

Apparently EZA has approved less than great quality articles in the past and is doing their best to see that only top quality articles get by their editors and approved. This procedure has caused great delays in the speed which articles get approved since they are most likely going through articles in a lot more detail.

Once they get things back to order and the Google Gods start showing them the same amount of love in organic listings as they used to, approval rates will be shortened.

I understand that you can't wait for approval so be sure to use directories like articlebase.com or buzzle.com as viable options. These two sites get a lot of exposure through Google.

Buzzle is an article directory that requires 100% original and unique, non-syndicated content, without offering any ways to monetize that content you are submitting. You basically give them the same rights of exclusivity that respectable directories would only ask for in return for payment or other monetization options for your hard work.

This is why a great deal of experienced article writers and marketers, myself included, wouldn't submit to buzzle if held at gunpoint.

I've tried submitting articles to articlesbase.com, just a day to get approved. Ezine really has a very high PR than articlesbase, but if you want to spread your unique articles, you may want to post it in other sites, like articlesbase.
