Can Affiliates Track Conversions?

Hey dudes,

I was just wondering if there was any way for an affiliate to track conversions. Google Adwords does allow conversion tracking, but they require you to place a code on your "Thank You" page -- which means that only the product owner can truly track his or her conversions.

But what about us affiliates? Is there any way for us to track our conversions?

    I guess I'm missing something here. Are you talking about conversion tracking other than what's built into...say... clickbank reports?

      I suppose I was most interested in tracking conversion rates from multiple traffic sources. In other words, is traffic source A converting? Is traffic source B converting? Etc.

      You are right, ClickBank does allow different tracking codes to be added to their links so that multiple traffic sources can be tested. What about the other affiliate networks? (Commission Junction, Pay Dot Com, etc). Do they all offer tracking codes which can be placed within the affiliate link so that multiple traffic sources can be tested?

        The term for this is Sub ID tracking, and most CPA networks, affiliate networks (including ClickBank) support them. The methods vary, but usually involve extra code at the end of the normal affiliate link.
