How effective are articles?

Does submitting ten articles for a single website have a great effect on how much traffic you receive?

And the quality of the articles, and quite a few other factors.

It's a little like asking, "does mexican food taste good?" It depends on a lot of things.

Good quality articles published on a site that serves the same or closely related market can results in some very nice traffic indeed. Of course, the article must effectively "pre-sell" the reader to the point where they want more.

Very good question Tony. From my own experience as long as you are submitting unique articles the more articles you get online the better. More direct traffic and back-links. Do beware however, recent changes in Google seems to have made article marketing more difficult, so you may need to fine-tune your methods to suit.

Yes it does. I won't say expect a TON of traffic but it all depends on where
you submit them and how you submit them. Hoping that you already use Ezine
Articles you can make your articles get more exposure by making them viral.

I post my ezine article URL's to my Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn etc and even
submit them to digg and stumbleupon. I take them even further by turning them
into blog post and sharing it with my list, if the article is unique and share-worthy
other people will pick up on it. For example my last blog post I created
from a article I wrote drove in 2800+ unique visitors in 72 hours because most
people RT'd it on Twitter. So all in all it depends on where and how you post.
